Mi padre este sábado cumple ochenta y ocho años.

Y mi madre tiene ochenta y dos años.

Mi padre se llama Hank y mi madre Madeleine.

Los dos son de espíritu fuerte.

Son un buen ejemplo.

Ya llevan casados casi sesenta años, y son muy tradicionales pero les gustan los retos.

Mi padre se mudó a Rhodesia, que es ahora Zambia después de la guerra y allí conoció a mi madre, yo y mi hermana nacimos allí y después nos mudamos a europa.

Después otra vez a Sudáfrica y vivimos allí la mayoría de nuestras vidas.

Mis padres son expatriados, tienen fábricas de ropa en muchos países.

Y son un equipo.

Mi hermana y yo somos muy independientes porque nos mudamos muchas veces.

Y te conviertes en una persona que no depende de otras personas.

Somos una familia tradicional pero no somos personas tradicionales.

Y con mi hermana, estamos muy unidos, mi hermana ya es abuela, tiene un nieto que se llama Dex.

Y mi madre tiene ochenta y dos años. Und meine Mutter ist zweiundachtzig Jahre alt. And my mother is eighty-two years old.

Mi padre se llama Hank y mi madre Madeleine. My father's name is Hank and my mother's name is Madeleine.

Los dos son de espíritu fuerte. Sie sind beide stark temperamentvoll. They are both strong spirited. Ils sont tous les deux forts d'esprit.

Son un buen ejemplo. Sie sind ein gutes Beispiel. They are a good example.

Ya llevan casados casi sesenta años, y son muy tradicionales pero les gustan los retos. Sie sind jetzt seit fast sechzig Jahren verheiratet, und sie sind sehr traditionell, aber sie mögen die Herausforderung. They have been married for almost sixty years now, and they are very traditional but they like a challenge.

Mi padre se mudó a Rhodesia, que es ahora Zambia después de la guerra y allí conoció a mi madre, yo y mi hermana nacimos allí y después nos mudamos a europa. Mein Vater zog nach dem Krieg nach Rhodesien, das heute Sambia ist, und lernte dort meine Mutter kennen, ich und meine Schwester wurden dort geboren und zogen dann nach Europa. my father moved to rhodesia which is now zambia after the war and met my mother there, me and my sister were born there and then moved to europe.

Después otra vez a Sudáfrica y vivimos allí la mayoría de nuestras vidas. Dann wieder nach Südafrika und wir leben dort die meiste Zeit unseres Lebens. Then again to South Africa and we live there most of our lives.

Mis padres son expatriados, tienen fábricas de ropa en muchos países. Meine Eltern sind Expatriates, sie haben Kleiderfabriken in vielen Ländern. My parents are expatriates, they have clothing factories in many countries.

Y son un equipo. Und sie sind ein Team. And they are a team. Et ils sont une équipe.

Mi hermana y yo somos muy independientes porque nos mudamos muchas veces. Meine Schwester und ich sind sehr unabhängig, weil wir viel umziehen. My sister and I are very independent because we move a lot.

Y te conviertes en una persona que no depende de otras personas. Und du wirst zu einer Person, die nicht von anderen Menschen abhängig ist. And you become a person who does not depend on other people.

Somos una familia tradicional pero no somos personas tradicionales. Wir sind eine traditionelle Familie, aber wir sind keine traditionellen Menschen. We are a traditional family but we are not traditional people.

Y con mi hermana, estamos muy unidos, mi hermana ya es abuela, tiene un nieto que se llama Dex. Und mit meiner Schwester stehen wir uns sehr nahe, meine Schwester ist bereits Großmutter, sie hat einen Enkel namens Dex. And with my sister, we are very close, my sister is already a grandmother, she has a grandson named Dex.
