-(앵커) 정부 기관에서 청소나 시설 관리, 조리를 하는 사람들이 있습니다. -(Anchor) There are people who work for government agencies doing cleaning or facilities management or cooking. 공무원이 아니고 공무직이라고 부르는데 정부가 내년도 예산을 발표하면서 이들의 임금 인상률을 2.2%로 결정했습니다. They're not government employees, they're called civil servants, and the government just announced the budget for next year and decided to give them a 2.2% pay raise. 물가 상승률은 물론 최저임금 인상률에도 못 미칩니다. That's not even close to the rate of inflation, let alone minimum wage increases. 김아영 기자입니다.

-(기자) 실수령액 183만 원. -(Reporter) Mistakenly received 1.83 million won. 국립중앙박물관에서 조명을 관리하는공무직 노동자의 월급입니다. The salary of a government worker who manages the lighting at the National Museum of Korea. 최저임금 191만 4440원에 급식비 14만원을 더하고 각종 공제를 뺀 돈입니다. The minimum wage is 1914,440 won plus 140,000 won for meals, minus various deductions.

-(기자) 학교 급식실 조리 노동자인 정경숙 씨도 비슷합니다. -(Reporter) Chung, a school cafeteria worker, is similar. 여름에 40도에 육박하는 조리실에서8시간 꼬박 일하고 받는 돈은 한 달에 230만 원. 방학 두 달 반은 월급도 없습니다.

-(기자) 공무원도 아닌 공무직노동자들. 중앙정부와 공공기관에만 33만 명이있고 지자체와 교육청까지 합하면 100만 명으로 추산됩니다. It is estimated that there are 330,000 people in the central government and public institutions alone, and 1 million if you include local governments and school boards. 내년도 정부 예산안에 반영된 중앙정부 공무직의 임금 인상률은 2.2%.
