-(앵커) 어제 경남 합천에서 시작돼 경북 고령까지 번진 산불이 28시간 만에 진화됐습니다. -(Anchor) The wildfire that started in Hapcheon, Gyeongnam yesterday and spread to Goryeong, Gyeongbuk was extinguished in 28 hours. 무려 축구장 950개 면적에 달하는 산림이 타버렸는데 건조한 날씨에 불길이 다시 살아날까 마음을 놓을 수가 없습니다. -(기자) 경남 합천의 야산입니다. -(Reporter) This is Yasan in Hapcheon, Gyeongnam. 헬기들이 쉴 새 없이 산을 오갑니다. Helicopters are constantly going up and down the mountains. 인근 저수지와 하천에서 물을 담고 산불 현장에 뿌리기를 반복합니다. Repeated spraying at the fire site with water from nearby reservoirs and streams. 경남 합천의 야산에서 어제 오후 2시 반쯤 시작된 불은 경북 고령까지 순식간에 퍼졌습니다. The fire that started around 2:30 pm yesterday in a hill in Hapcheon, Gyeongsangnam-do spread quickly to Goryeong, North Gyeongsang Province. 피해 예상 면적이 675헥타르. The estimated damage area is 675 hectares. 축구장 약 950개의 넓이입니다. 산 정상에서 시작된 산불은 강한 바람을 타고 빠르게 확산되면서 여러 마을과 민가에 바로 눈앞에 보이는 곳까지 접근했습니다. The wildfire, which started at the top of the mountain, spread rapidly with strong winds, reaching many villages and private houses as far as the eye could see. 합천과 고령의 주민 약 600명이 긴급대피해 마을회관과 경로당 등에서 뜬 눈으로 밤을 지샜습니다. About 600 residents of Hapcheon and Goryeong were evacuated and spent the night with their eyes open at the village hall and senior citizen center.

-(기자) 헬기 39대와 지상인력 2천여 명이 투입돼 큰 불은 오후 6시가 돼서야 잡혔습니다. -(Reporter) 39 helicopters and 2,000 ground personnel were deployed, so the big fire was extinguished at 6 pm. 산불 발생 약 28시간 만입니다. It has been about 28 hours since the fire started.
