출산율 감소와 고령화로 농촌 곳곳에 빈집과 빈 건물이 늘고 있는데요. 산자락의 한 시골 마을. A rural village at the foot of the mountain. 낡은 집 안으로 들어서자 깔끔한 실내가 눈길을 끕니다. As you enter the old house, the neat interior catches your eye. 귀농 3년 차, 새내기 농부인 38살 이성원 씨의 귀농 하우스입니다. This is the home of 38-year-old Lee Seong-won, a new farmer in his 3rd year of farming. 대기업을 퇴사한 뒤 귀농을 꿈꾸던 이 씨의 가장 큰 고민은 '집'이었습니다. The biggest concern of Mr. Lee, who dreamed of returning to farming after leaving a large company, was 'home'. 수소문 끝에 결국, 농촌의 빈집을 찾아 정착했습니다. After much inquiry, they eventually found an empty house in the countryside and settled there. 집 수리 비용은 자치단체의 도움을 받아 해결했습니다. 폐교도 귀농인을 위한 주거 시설로 활용됩니다. The closed school is also used as a residential facility for returning farmers. 20년가량 방치됐던 시골 마을 폐교가 A closed school in a rural village that had been neglected for 20 years 귀농을 꿈꾸는 이들이 임시 거주할 수 있는 '귀농인의 집'으로 조성됩니다. 모두 10가구가 월 20만 원대 낮은 임대료로 All 10 households receive a monthly rent as low as 200,000 won. 2년까지 거주할 수 있습니다. You can stay for up to 2 years. 폐교의 변신은 마을 주민에게도 반가운 소식입니다. The transformation of the closing school is also good news for the villagers.
