This was my experience as a young boy.
小学生 の 時 よく 神社 で 遊んで いた 記憶 が ある 神社 は 町 の た 課題 に あり 同じ 敷地 内 に 公民 館 や 駐車 場 など 公共 設備 も あった

I remember often playing at the shrine when I was in elementary school. The shrine was located in the center of town, and there were public facilities such as a community center and parking lot on the same site.

I used to hang out there with my friends.

My friend and I went to the shrine, diagonally across the street from the shrine building.
つまり 公民 館 の 正面 に プレハブ の 家 なん たって いた いつ の まり 建築 した の か 分から なかった が 結構 立派だった

I mean, there was a prefab house right in front of the community center, and I'm not sure when it was built, but it was pretty nice.

I was running around the community center with a friend, not really paying attention, when suddenly my friend stopped and said someone was looking at us through a prefabricated window.

I couldn't be sure, but I'm pretty sure the glass windows and the curtain moons were open because we were making too much noise, and they were angry.

I thought he was staring at me, so I quickly left with my friend that day.
それ から しばらく は 神社 に は 近寄ら なかった 私 たち は 中学生 に なり よく 学校 帰り に 買い食い を する の が 日課 だった

After that, we didn't go near the shrine for a while. When we were in junior high school, we used to buy food and drink on our way home from school.

That day, my friend and I bought some Ramune at a candy store, and while we were wondering where to eat them, we remembered the shrine we were going to, and decided to go there.

My friend who was accompanying me recalled playing at the shrine with me.

I remember someone peeking out of that prefab... actually, it scared the hell out of me when I was a kid and I had to go home.

It had been many years since I last saw it, but the cabin was still standing.

The window of the hut had the curtains open, and through the glass I could see the merchant's house, and even though it was still early evening, I could see through the barriers that the room was lit up with a bright light.

It was obvious that someone was there, and we somehow assumed that the resident was you, so we both approached the window to take a peek.

The floor of the hut is almost a meter above the ground, there is a staircase to the entrance, and the window bak is about up to our necks.

I was relieved, but he opened his mouth so tightly, I guess I was being punished.

I didn't understand what he meant, and he never came to school again.
それ から 私 たち は 会う こと は なかった

After that, we never saw each other again.

I was leading an ordinary life, just past the age of 18, and after graduating from college, I returned to my hometown for the first time in a long time.
