The Running Channel, You Challenged Us to the Ultimate Fitness Test | Beep Test

You Challenged Us to the Ultimate Fitness Test | Beep Test

you, The running channel community have set us another challenge.

And to prevent any cheating.

I volunteered to be ref.

What a shame.

And the Anna, Sara and DHB Ambassador Jorge, prepare yourselves as

it's about to get competitive, wants to know what they're doing.

Well, over to Milan, who commented on one of our videos to set this

challenge.

Hi, guys.

My name is Milan and I challenge the running channel to go head to head in the beep

test.

So the rules for this challenge are as follows.

The traditional test, which you may have done at school, involves running between cones placed

20 metres apart.

And there is a beep track playing while you run.

When you hear the beep, you run to the opposite cone and you have to make it there before the next beep.

Then you wait to hear the beep.

And when it sounds, you can run back to the first cone.

If the beep goes before you reach the cone, you have your first warning.

If it happens again, you are out of the contest.

Last person standing wins.

Okay, Beep test, fleet test pacer test.

Whatever you want to call it Now that I know what it is, I can feel the adrenaline.

I'm I'm shaking with nerves.

I think I've got some kind of PTSD from school.

I'm sure all of you might remember that as well.

School for me as well as everyone likes to remind me, was a really long time ago.

So nearly 25 years since I last took on the BLEEP test.

No real tactics.

You just got to keep up, haven't you?

I'm feeling really nervous about this one.

Sprinting is not my forte.

My forte is long and slow for me.

It's going to be about easing into it, gradually raising that heart rate

and then, you know not not kind of redlining too early.

The worst day of school is back.

Quite excited, though.

Who do you think is going to win?

Let us know in the comments down below right now.

I mean, obviously you're gonna comment me, but there's anyone else dropped them down below

or not.

Whatever you think.

Mhm.

Georgia's runoff.

Nervous.

We may be nervous.

Polk, who knows.

54321.

Starting level 11.

Don't miss the first

level.

12.

They won't be laughing to see Mhm.

Mhm.

Okay.

Okay.

Mm.

Starting level 21 cleared the

first level, man.

You know, even with my knee, I could keep it with him.

At this rate,

this is where I have to finish level to three.

Awesome pigging versus Yeah, yeah.

Thanks for the compliment To some.

Level two for

mhm.

Mhm.

Mhm.

Mhm.

Mhm.

Mm.

Mhm.

You know what?

I think this gets quite painful.

Quite quickly.

Mm.

Level 35,

736.

Mhm.

There we go first, cause for disqualification.

Level 37.

Mhm.

Mhm number 38.

Yeah.

Yeah, I think between George and Andy.

You've got to say, that's where the winner is going to come today.

At the moment, Andy looks more comfortable talking, chatting amongst colleagues,

George, though just game face focus just got back from Australia.

Just looks like he's on it.

George, on the dog.

Potentially.

Yeah.

Stop.

Level 51.

You've made level five.

Congratulations.

Mhm.

Mhm.

Mm.

Yeah.

Okay.

Yeah.

This is where it gets tricky.

Definitely all hitting the beats, all still hitting the beefs,

and a looking like she's feeling the heat six.

Come on.

Mhm.

Seven.

Yeah.

Level 68

11, 69.

And there's actually still working the beeps.

The others are ahead of the beeps, but she's working.

That could be a clever tactic.

Mhm Justin and Justin.

Level seven to

Yeah, 11, 73.

Never at 71 a mile, I think.

I think, these guys to missing a beat there, Ana.

That's one.

Sorry, I gotta make this.

You've got to make this.

Got to make this 76 and

Anna's out and is out of the beep test

that's so annoying.

75.

She's our offers.

Competitor is down and you've just stepped out of the

kitchen.

How was that?

There was a lot of fire.

That was really disappointing.

Actually, I think I didn't expect the beep as soon as I did.

And I think I declared myself out because I thought You're going to call me out.

We're all proud of you, though.

Well done.

Well, I'm gonna cheer these guys on now anyway.

Let's get back to the action.

Yeah.

Wait.

Oh, George is feeling it.

Just a few words there from Georgia.

Don't He doesn't speak much, but he said a few words.

He said, Oh, this is tough.

What could that mean?

I think he's feeling it.

Devils nine.

Oh, level 99.

Oh, just just Yeah, Yeah,

she made it.

Sarah's back in.

Play back in play back in play.

Ladies and gentlemen, back in play.

Yeah, level 10.

This is impressive.

That's one.

Sarah's gonna make this.

She's got to make this.

Sarah, you're out out of the game.

Tend to tend to.

So let's get some quick reaction here.

Follow me.

Follow me.

Sarah.

How do you feel?

Tend to we impressed with that.

I wanted level 10.

I got level 10.

I think I just let myself out a level 10.

Who do you think he's got it now do you think is gonna win?

Well, and he's playing the tactical game.

I think George has got it.

Okay, let's get back to the action.

His eyebrows raised.

Yeah, Yeah.

Level 12.

3.

Well, mhm.

Mhm.

What?

Yeah, I'm here.

You Andy

trying to psych each other out here.

This is very interesting.

Mhm.

Yeah.

Mhm.

What kind of player?

Maybe or just just

Oh, is he going to make this?

Looks like this could be close.

Oh, and he's missed that.

And his dad and He's got to make this to win.

He's got to make it.

So he didn't.

It's a drawer.

It's a drawer.

It's a drawer.

George, you've got your hands in your head.

How do you feel?

I thought he had No, by the way, had so much more.

If I known and he was going to tap out, I could.

I knew that we were both in pain.

Well, why?

Yeah, I would have carried on, would I?

Is that me talking now, Andy?

You're the last man standing there.

But it seems like you both actually bowed out at the same point.

Yeah, exactly.

It's very frustrating.

Yes.

Good job, George.

For somebody, he, uh He tried to goad me at that level 12.

He's, like, nice and easy.

How many you gonna go, Andy?

I shouted 16, knowing full well, I had maybe one more in me.

And actually, having him next to me really brought out the competitive side of me.

So it's ended.

Their both athletes pulled in 14.6 on the beep test.

But we can't have that.

We can't have a draw here on the running channel.

So we thought we're gonna throw you both into a decider.

Nobody misses a beep.

Starting at level 14.

Go, go, go, go, go!

Stop!

11 14 1.

Level 14 to

never 14.

3.

Yeah.

11.

14 4.

Yeah, Never.

14.

Fine.

Mhm.

Mhm.

14 6.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Cruelty look fine.

Okay, Level 14.

Age level 14.

9 Never.

14.

10.

Level 14.

11.

Mhm.

Oh, just George.

Just George is gonna make this.

No, he does.

He's on the turn, and he certainly looks to have the upper hand here.

Stop.

Never.

15 1.

Number 15 to

Sunday Things.

Both of them are really nervous because they know they can't miss at 11.

15, 4.

I just know Andy

is a winner and you've won some major events in your time,

but that was just phenomenal.

That's got to be the peak.

Surely the bleep test on a blue illustrator.

What more could you ask for?

Incredible performance.

Did you think George was going to drop out when he did?

No, I just I wasn't really thinking about how much his all out pumping my legs as hard as I could go.

Yeah, I feel safe.

Congratulations, Andy.

Badly.
