GABRIEL: Okay, so Brian we can talk a little bit about travelling.

GABRIEL:   I personally love Barcelona as well. غابرييل: أنا شخصياً أحب برشلونة أيضاً. GABRIEL: Pessoalmente, também gosto muito de Barcelona. I’ve been there twice. لقد كنت هناك مرتين. Já lá estive duas vezes. What did you like about it? ما الذي أعجبك فيها؟ De que é que gostou?

BRIAN:   I just love the fact that there is always something to do. بريان: أنا أحب حقيقة أن هناك دائمًا شيء يجب القيام به. Adoro o facto de haver sempre alguma coisa para fazer. BRIAN:   Yeah, I did. Because there’s a lot of people that I found couldn’t speak English or understand me. لأن هناك الكثير من الأشخاص الذين وجدتهم لا يستطيعون التحدث باللغة الإنجليزية أو فهمي. Porque há muitas pessoas que eu descobri que não falam inglês ou não me entendem.

GABRIEL:    Interesting. غابرييل: مثير للاهتمام.

BRIAN:    And I always try to speak the language wherever I am going… بريان: وأحاول دائمًا التحدث باللغة أينما ذهبت... BRIAN: E tento sempre falar a língua onde quer que vá...

GABRIEL:    Because you do speak some Spanish right? غابرييل: لأنك تتحدث بعض الإسبانية، أليس كذلك؟ Porque tu falas um pouco de espanhol, certo? But maybe not that good Mas talvez não seja assim tão bom

BRIAN:    Yeah, very, very little.

GABRIEL:    Okay, fair enough. غابرييل: حسنًا، عادل بما فيه الكفاية.

BRIAN:   And I remember I was in McDonald’s and I said {Spanish word} I was trying really hard and then there’s this British girl behind me. بريان: وأتذكر أنني كنت في ماكدونالدز وقلت {كلمة إسبانية} كنت أحاول جاهداً ثم كانت هناك فتاة بريطانية ورائي. ブライアン：私はマクドナルドにいることを覚えていて、{スペイン語}と一生懸命頑張っていると言った。その後ろにこのイギリス人の女の子がいる。 They didn’t even try! لم يحاولوا حتى! 彼らも試しませんでした！ Eles nem tentaram! {Spanish words} Just the tone and they didn’t care. {كلمات إسبانية} فقط النغمة ولم يهتموا.

GABRIEL:   I’ve come across such a lot of people like that in Paris. غابرييل: لقد التقيت بالكثير من الأشخاص مثل هؤلاء في باريس. GABRIEL:   But in Paris…(Laughs) Before I learned French, you know and this was a long time ago but I remember being in Paris when I was 13 years old and I was with my mom and we spoke very minimal French and we were asked to leave this bakery because we spoke no French. غابرييل: لكن في باريس... GABRIEL:   Awesome! Did you meet a lot of Spanish people or just people from all over the world? هل قابلت الكثير من الإسبان أو فقط أشخاصًا من جميع أنحاء العالم؟

GABRIEL:   Nice. How did you find them?

That’s awesome. GABRIEL:   Oh, wow, on the street? غابرييل: أوه، واو، في الشارع؟

BRIAN:   You can’t forget something like that. بريان: لا يمكنك أن تنسى شيئًا كهذا. GABRIEL:   Your business? (Laughs)

BRIAN:    Yeah.

GABRIEL:   To sell the orange juice. (Laughs)

BRIAN:    Yeah, exactly. It doesn’t make sense to me why they’re all clumped together. ليس من المنطقي بالنسبة لي لماذا يتم تجميعهم جميعًا معًا.

GABRIEL:   They could spread up. GABRIEL: Eles poderiam se espalhar. That’s true. (Laughs)

BRIAN:   Yeah, so we’ve got a glass of orange juice and all these kids come out with straws, they have straws and they want some of your orange juice. بريان: نعم، لدينا كوب من عصير البرتقال ويخرج كل هؤلاء الأطفال ومعهم شفاطات، ويريدون بعضًا من عصير البرتقال.

BRIAN:    It is sad.

GABRIEL:   I haven’t been to Morocco and I have no idea what the situation is like there but is it some guessing. غبريال: لم أزر المغرب وليس لدي أي فكرة عن الوضع هناك، لكن هل هذا مجرد تخمين؟ GABRIEL: Eu não estive no Marrocos e não tenho ideia de como é a situação lá, mas isso é um pouco de suposição. Does it look like there was a lot of a big social gap in Morocco? هل يبدو أن هناك فجوة اجتماعية كبيرة في المغرب؟ Like, you know a lot of poor people and a lot of more like a bigger discrepancy. مثلًا، أنت تعرف الكثير من الفقراء ويشبه الكثير منهم تناقضًا أكبر. BRIAN:   I was never really into politics before I was really ignorant of what I was even getting into going to Morocco. بريان: لم أكن مهتمًا بالسياسة أبدًا قبل أن أكون جاهلًا حقًا بما كنت سأفعله عندما أذهب إلى المغرب.

GABRIEL:    It has also this religious cultural aspect to it. جبرائيل: لديها أيضًا هذا الجانب الثقافي الديني.

BRIAN:    Yeah, exactly. بريان: نعم، بالضبط.

GABRIEL:   Of course, there it’s a Muslim country. جبرائيل: بالطبع، هناك دولة إسلامية. Actually, I have not been to a Muslim country. في الواقع، لم أذهب إلى بلد مسلم. They respected them a lot which is nice but of course that I know very little about it as and  yeah I just know that most of the Moroccan population speaks fluent French, which reminds me that I have a met this Moroccan girl and had a chat with her in French like about a month ago to the supermarket. لقد احترموهم كثيرا وهو أمر لطيف ولكن بالطبع لا أعرف سوى القليل عن ذلك، ونعم أعرف أن معظم السكان المغاربة يتحدثون الفرنسية بطلاقة، وهو ما يذكرني بأنني التقيت بهذه الفتاة المغربية وأجريت محادثة معها. لها باللغة الفرنسية منذ حوالي شهر إلى السوبر ماركت. I picked up on her accent. التقطت لهجتها. And so I have no idea what the situation is like there. ولذا ليس لدي أي فكرة عن الوضع هناك.
