Story 27. What's That Smell?
One day, Sam the dog came running home.
What's that smell?
Oh no, said Mom.
Sam has been sprayed by a skunk.
Skunks are small black and white animals.
They do not fight with anyone.
They don't need to.
But when they are scared, they make a strong smelling liquid and spray it.
The smell makes everyone run away.
Yuck!
