Mites. A mite infestation in the ears is actually a rare condition called otoacariasis. In Taiwan in 2012, a 70-year-old man had a sense of fullness in his right ear, but no other complaints. Turns out, he had a community of microscopic house dust mites and mite eggs living in and feeding off of his ear.
