PART 3.3 Caleb Interview — Learn English with Camille

Camille: That's amazing.

Caleb: Because I don't know, I don't know what that looks like that doesn't really scream like a job, or that doesn't scream like, um, that's gonna bring in a lot of money, and it may one day, I don't know. You know, I will never know until I take that first step. We never know what anything could look like until we take that first step.

Camille: So true.

Caleb: And we can let things like fear, and anxiety, and depression, and just our own overthinking about it affect us, and not make that first step. Um, and just learning who to surround yourself with too, to help make that possible, and they may not be directly involved with it, but they're actually like speaking into it, you know, they're speaking and encouraging you, and saying like, you know, what I don't know, what that looks like, but I'm here to walk with you, and walk beside you, and kind of like push you, really in the uncomfortable moments, because it's true like, yeah, there are so many times where new ideas are uncomfortable, and we're like I can't do this, like there's no way I could do it, but it's like no, like if you just take that first step, like what could happen, um, if you break that first moment of silence, what can be created in that moment? And just not filling your life with busyness.

Camille: Yeah, that's cool…you, I'm still thinking of that statement you made, where you said people are afraid of silence. Yeah, why do you think people are afraid of silence?

Caleb: Yeah, I think people… man, I think people are afraid of silence because our lives around us tell us to always be thinking, to always be doing something, and it creates really noise, and it may not be necessarily bad, but it's noise, and when we actually step away from the noise, when we actually step away, and we go sit in our house that is quiet, you know, and the only thing that you can hear is maybe the air turn on, or the birds outside, or you know something like that like we're left with our actual own thoughts, and like what's actually going on inside of us, you know and we can actually find that it can be kind of scary sometimes. But that's totally okay. You know, it's okay to… it's okay to have like, have those thoughts because that's what's inside of you, but it's like what do you do with them after you've like started thinking them, um, to not be scared of what you're thinking, I think is why we're scared of silence.
