but in the era of the Internet, you don't need a well-filled mind,

ولكن الذي تحتاج إليه هو عقلٌ جيِّد التشكيل

एक मन जो अपरिचित तथ्य और विवरण प्रतिक्रिया करता है
A mind that reacts to unfamiliar facts and details
عقلا يتفاعل مع الحقائق والمعلومات غير المألوفة
Una mente que reaccione a hechos y detalles no familiares,
that can actually synthesize information that it hasn't studied before.
ويساعد فعلا في توليف المعلومات التي لم يُوصل إليها علماً
que pueda en efecto sintetizar datos que no se haya estudiado antes.
A mind, in other words, that can react to the bigger examination called 'life, '
عقلا - ففي عبارة أخرى - يتفاعل مع امتحان أكبر يدعى "الحياة"
Es decir, una mente que pueda reaccionar al exámen último llamado vida,

but if I want to catch somebody in the back row,
لكن، حينما أريد أن أختار أحدا من الصف الخلفي
pero si quiero ver a alguien en la fila de atrás,
तो चश्मे चाहिए|
there I have to look though glasses.
فعلينا أن أنظر بنظّاراتٍ
tengo que usar las gafas.
क्योंकि मैं कम पहनता हु तो में उन्हें या तो तोड़ देता हु या तो घुमा देता हूँ
But because I hardly ever wear them, I keep losing or breaking them.
لكن بسبب أني نادرا ما أرتيدها، أظل أفقدها أو أكسّرها
Como difícilmente los uso, seguido los pierdo o los rompo.
I shove them in the pocket, bang them against the wall or something,
وأحطِّمُها في الجيب وأضربها على الجدار أو ما شابه
Los meto en el bolsillo, me pego con un pared o algo
they crack, I put them on the lap, when I get up, they fall down,
وهي تتحطّم أحيانا، عندما وضعتها في الحجر، وأنهض تسقط منّي
se trozan, los pongo en mi regazo, me levanto, se me caen,
कोई उन पर कदम रखता है, वे टूट जाते हैं।
somebody steps on them, they break.
وأشخاصٌ تخطو عليها، وتُحطِّمها
alguien los pisa, se rompen.
इस वर्ष के पहले 3 महीनों में, मैंने 6 जोड़े चश्मे खो दिए या तोड़ दिए।
In the first 3 months of this year, I lost or broke 6 pairs of glasses.
ومن خلال الشهور الثلاثة الأوائل في هذه السنة، فقدت وكسّرت ستة أزواج منها
En los primeros 3 meses de este año, he perdido o roto 6 pares de gafas.
तो मैं एक दोस्त को इस बारे में बता रहा था,
So I was telling a friend about this,
لقد كنت أخبر صديقا لي عن هذا
Le conté esto a un amigo y me dijo:
और उसने कहा: "एक सरल उपाय, आप एक के बारे में क्यों नहीं सोच सकते? "
and he said: "A simple solution, why can't you think of one?"
وكن يقول لي : "هناك حل بسيط، لما ذا لا تفكر فيه مرةً"
"Tiene solución simple, ¿por qué no piensas en una?"
I said: "Look, there is no easy solution
وأجبته: يبدو أنه لا يوجد حِلٌّ سهلٌ
Le dijie: "Mira, no hay solución simple,
because for 150 years, glasses have been made in one way, right?
لأنه، على مدى 150 عاما، صنعت النظَّارات بطريقة واحدة، صحيح؟
porque en 150 años, las gafas se han hecho de una sola forma ¿no?
They join together at the center, then hang over your ears.
طرفاها يتحدان في الوسط، ويعلَّقان في أذنيك
Se juntan al centro y cuelgan de tus orejas.
That's what I've found an inconvenience, so I take them off."
هذا هو مُزعِج، لذا خَلعتُها
Eso lo encuentro inconveniente y por eso me los quito".
And he said, "No, no, no, no, no, you will find a different way.
وقال لي: "لا، لا، لا، لا، سوف تجد طريقةً أُخرى
Me dijo: "No, no, encontrarás una forma diferente.
You can re-imagine glasses in a way they're not going to hang over your ears,
يمكنك إعادة تصوُّر النظَّارات بطريقِ أنها لم تُعلِّق على أُذنَيك
Puedes reimaginar unas gafas tal que no las cuelgas de tus orejas,
or join at the middle," and this is what he did.
أو تَنضَمَّ في الوَسَط"، وهذا ما فعله...
y no las juntas al centro" y eso fue lo que hizo.
I'm wearing them right now; and if I want to see anybody at the back,
والآن، أنا أرتديها بالفعل: وإذا أردت رؤية شخص من الخلف
Las estoy usando y si quiero ver a alguien allá atrás,
I just pull them together,
أسحبهما معا
los junto, tiene dos imanes al centro que los une
मैं बस उन्हें एक साथ खींचता हूं,
it has two magnets in the middle that click together,
ولها مغناطيسين في الوسط تُقَطْقِطَانِ
इसमें दो चुम्बक हैं बीच में एक साथ जुड़ते है,

ويمكنني أن أراكم جميعا في الخلف (تصفيق)
और मैं तुम सबको पीछे से दिखा सकता हूं। (तालीया)
Now, it's just a silly example perhaps,
والآن، هذا هو مجرد مثال بسيط،
Es sólo un ejemplo simple quizá,
but it's an example of how one can think out of the box.

Things, familiar objects can be thought of

in ways they haven't been thought of before.
أَفكارًا بِطرائقَ لم يصِلوا إليها من قبل
en formas que no se hayan concebido antes.
और उस तरह हम दुनिया में आगे बढ़ सकते है|
And that way, we can move forward in the world.
وبهذا، نتمكن من المضي قدما في العالم
Así podemos avanzar en el mundo.
मुझे कोई शक नहीं है कि यह चुनौतियां बहुत बड़ी हैं,
I have no doubt that the challenges are enormous,
وليس عندي شك في أن التحديات لا تزال هائلة
No cabe duda que el reto es enorme,
बस कोई सवाल नहीं है यहाँ, हमारे देश में,
there is simply no question that here, in our country,
وببساطة، ليس هناك تساؤل في البلد
tampoco hay duda de que en nuestro país
हम साक्षर बन गए है|
we have to become literate.
علينا أن نصبح قادرين على القراءة والكتابة
debemos ser alfabetas.
लेकिन एक अछि खबर है,
But there's one piece of good news.
ولدينا خبر سارّ
Hay una buena noticia.
पूरे भारत में 12 साल के बच्चों का 95% पढ़ और लिख सकते हैं।
95% of our 12 year-olds across India can read and write.
إن نسبة 95% لأطفال ال12 عاما في جميع أرجاء الهند يستطيعون من القراءة والكتابة
95 % con edad de 12 años en toda India pueden leer y escribir.
इसलिए भविष्य उज्जवल लग रहा है|
So the future looks good.
لذا مستقبلنا يبدو حسنا
Entonces el futuro se ve bien
और जहां तक कार्यबल का सवाल है,
And as far as the workforce is concerned,
وبالنسبة إلى القوة العاملة
y en lo que respecta a fueza de trabajo,
अगर सारी चीज़े एक साथ सही तरह से कर सके
if we can get all these other pieces in place,
إذا تمكنَّا من الحصول على تلك القطع الأخرى في مواضعها
si podemos poner todas las piezas en su sitio,
हम दुनिया के बाकी लोगों से कह सकते हैं,"हम आ रहे हैं।"
we can say to the rest of the world, "We are coming."
نهتف أمام العالم "أننا قادمون"
podemos decirle al resto del mundo, "Estamos por llegar".
