奇特 的 红双喜 字 Peculiar double happiness

中国 人 举行 婚礼 时 ， 常用 红纸 写 一个 大 “ 囍 ” 字 ， 贴 在 门上 ， 表示 庆祝 。 When Chinese people hold weddings, they often write a big "囍" on red paper and stick it on the door to signify celebration. 传说 这个 红双喜 字 最早 是 宋代 文学家 王安石 写 出来 的 。 Legend has it that the word Red Double Happiness was first written by Song Dynasty writer Wang Anshi. 王安石 在 去 京城 参加 考试 的 路上 ， 看见 一 家 门口 挂着 一个 很大 的 走马灯 ， 上边 写 着 一 副 对联 的 上联 ：“ 走 马 灯 ， 灯 走 马 ， 灯 熄 马 停 步 。 ” 希望 有人 能 对 出 下联。 王 安石 看 完 了 就 说 ：“ 这是 一副 很 好 的 上联 ！ Wang Anshi was on his way to the capital to take the exam when he saw a large revolving lantern hanging at the door of a house, with the first couplet of a couplet written on it: "The revolving lantern, the light goes on the horse, the light goes out and the horse stops." I hope someone can answer the second couplet. After reading it, Wang Anshi said, "This is a very good couplet! ” 一位 站 在 走马灯 旁边 的 老人 忙 对 他 说 ：“ 先生 ， 您 请 进 ！ "An old man standing next to the lamp said to him, "Sir, please come in! ” 王安石 回答 说 ：“ 对不起 ， 我要 去 京城 参加考试 ， 现在 没有 时间 。 "Wang Anshi replied: "I'm sorry, I'm going to the capital to take the exam. 走 马 灯，灯 走 马，灯 熄 马 停 步。 Walking horse lamp, lamp walking horse, lamp off horse stop.

飞 虎 旗，旗 飞 虎，旗 卷 虎 藏 身。 Flying tiger flag, flag flying tiger, flag rolling tiger hiding.

一会儿 ， 王安石 又 来到 了 那 家人 的 门前 。 After a while, Wang Anshi came to the door of the family again. 那位 老人 看见 他来 了 ， 就 非 常 高兴 地 走上 去 说 ：“ 先生 ， 您 来 了 ， 请 进 ， 请 进 ！ When the old man saw him coming, he went up to him with great joy and said, "Sir, you are here, please come in, please come in! ” 王安石 对 老人 说 ：“ 不用 进去 了 ， 我 已经 对 出来 了 。 " Wang Anshi said to the old man, "You don't have to go in, I have already come out." 我 的 下联 是 ：‘ 飞 虎 旗 ， 旗 飞 虎 ， 旗 卷 虎 藏 身 。 My second line is: 'flying tiger flag, flag flying tiger, flag rolling tiger hiding. 这时 ， 老 人才 对 王安石 说 ：“ 上联 是 我们 家 小姐 出 的 。 At this time, the old man said to Wang Anshi, "The first couplet is from our lady. 如果 哪位 没有 结婚 的 年轻人 对 上 了 ， 我们 家 小姐 就 嫁给 他 。 If a young man who is not married falls in love with him, the lady of our family will marry him. 您 的 下联 对 得 很 好 ， 我们 家 小姐 很 高兴 。 Your next line is very good and our lady is very happy. 现在 ， 只要 您 愿意 ， 您 就是 我们 家 的 姑爷 了 。 Now, if you wish, you are our uncle. ” 王安石 想 ， 这位 小 姐 一定 读过 很多 书 ， 就 决定 跟 她 结婚 。 "Wang Anshi thought that this young lady must have read a lot of books and decided to marry her.

就 在 王安石 举行 婚礼 的 那天 ， 他 收到 了 中榜 的 通知 。 On the day of Wang Anshi's wedding, he received a notice that he was on the list. 两件 喜事 一起 到 来 ， 他 高兴 极了 ， 就 用 一张 红纸 写 了 这么 一个 奇特 的 “ 囍 ” 字 ， 贴 在 门上 。 When the two happy events came together, he was so happy that he wrote this peculiar word "Xi" on a piece of red paper and put it on the door.

后来 ， 人们 结婚 的 时候 ， 都 习惯 在 门上 贴 一个 大 红双喜 字 。 Later on, when people got married, they used to put a big red double wedding letter on the door.
