53 上海 世博会 “ 城市 ， 让 生活 更 美好 ”， 这 是 2010 年 上海 世博会 的 口号 。 世博会 ， 就 是 世界 博览会 的 简称 。 这 是 一 场 国际 性 的 展览 ， 是 2008 年 北京 奥运会 之后 ， 中国 的 又 一件 大事 。 1851 年 ， 第 一 届 世博会 在 英国 首都 伦敦 举行 。 一 位 名 叫 徐 荣 村 的 广东 商人 把 自己 的 商品 运 到 伦敦 参加 展览 ， 竟然 获得 了 金 、 银 大奖 。 这 是 中国 人 第一次 参加 世博会 ， 但 不 是 以 政府 的 名义 。 中国 政府 第一 次 参加 世博会 是 在 1876 年 美国 费城 世博会 。 不过 ， 代表 中国 政府 的 也 只有 一 个 人 ， 他 叫 李 圭 。 这 次 世博会 结束 后 ， 李 圭 写 了 一 本 书 ， 记录 了 这 次 世博会 的 情况 。 他 非常 希望 ， 有 一天 中国 也 举办 世博会 。 100 年 之后 ， 他 的 希望 成为 了 现实 。 上海 世博会 从 2010 年 5 月 1 日 开始 ， 到 10 月 31 日 结束 。 世博会 的 主题 是 城市 。 城市 是 什么 ？ 未来 的 城市 是 什么 样子 ？ 如何 提高 城市 的 生活 水平 ？ …… 这 是 上海 给 每 个 国家 提出 的 问题 。 举办 世博会 的 地方 叫 做 世博 园 ， 它 位 于 上海 黄浦江 的 两 岸 。 世博 园 原来 是 上海 的 工业 区 ， 有 很 多 工厂 ； 经过 改造 ， 这 块 土地 变 成 了 一 个 世界 乐园 。 全 世界 很 多 设计 师 参加 了 设计 。 每 个 场馆 都 是 一 个 建筑 艺术 品 ： 它们 有 的 雄伟 壮丽 ， 有 的 五彩 斑斓 ， 简直 像 童话 中 的 一样 。 中国 的 展览 馆 分为 中国 国家 馆 、 各 省 市 馆 、 香港 馆 、 澳门 馆 和 台湾 馆 。 中国 国家 馆 叫 做 “ 东方 之 冠 ”， 它 使用 了 中国 传统 的 建筑 风格 ， 模仿 了 古代 中国 房子 的 结构 ： 很 多 柱子 叠 在 一起 ， 形成 上面 大 下面 小 的 外形 ， 就 像 一 顶 皇冠 。 中国 国家 馆 是 红色 的 ， 这 是 中国 人 最 喜欢 的 颜色 。 为了 这 次 世博会 ， 上海 花 了 很 多 钱 ， 请 了 很 多 人 工作 ， 但是 政府 也 知道 保护 环境 非常 重要 。 2010 年 上海 世博会 使用 了 很 多 新 的 技术 。 很 多 设施 使用 太阳 能 ， 世博 园 里 的 汽车 都 是 无 污染 汽车 。 世博会 结束 后 ， 大部分 建筑 要 被 保留 和 改造 ， 然后 重新 利用 。 在 世博会 上 ， 每天 都 有 很 多 活动 。 来自 世界 各地 的 艺术 家 都 把 自己 的 作品 和 表演 带 到 上海 。 由于 参观 世博会 的 人 实在 太 多 ， 很 多 场馆 前面 都 排 起 了 很 长 的 队伍 。 有些 场馆 要 等 好 几个 小时 才 能 进 去 。 所以 ， 虽然 我 去 了 上海 世博会 ， 但是 仍然 没有 勇气 去 排 这么 长 的 队 ， 只好 看 电视 过 把 瘾 。
