阿炳 ， 原名 华彦钧 ， 阿炳 是 他 的 小名 。 生于 １８９３ 年 ７ 月 ， 卒 于 １９５０ 年 １２ 月 。 阿炳 二十多岁 时 ， 患 了 眼疾 ， 又 死 了 父亲 ， 贫病交加 ， 眼疾 恶化 ， 双眼 相继 失明 ， 从此 ， 人家 便 叫 他 瞎子 阿炳 。

阿炳 从 童年 起 就 同 他 父亲 华雪梅 学习 音乐 。 华雪梅 是 一位 道士 ， 是 当地 道教 音乐界 所 公认 的 技艺 杰出 的 人材 ， 阿炳 的 音乐 修养 最初 主要 的 基础 出于 道家 音乐 ， 而且 是 出于 家传 。 道家 音乐 ， 大部分 是非 宗教性 的 民间 音乐 ， 其中 有 许多 是 毫未 改动 的 民歌 曲调 。 阿炳 双目失明 后 ， 开始 以 卖唱 为生 。 那 时候 ， 在 无锡市 里 ， 一位 戴着 墨镜 ， 胸前 背上 挂 着 笙 、 笛 、 琵琶 等 乐器 ， 手里 拉着 二胡 ， 在 街头 上 行走 的 ， 这 人 便是 阿炳 。

阿炳 纯粹 靠 演唱 来 维持 生活 ， 他 从来 没有 做过 向 人 乞怜 的 样子 ， 他 在 黑暗 、 贫困 中 挣扎 了 几十年 ， 他 对 痛苦 生活 的 感受 ， 通过 他 的 音乐 反映 出来 ， 没有 因为 生活 艰难困苦 而 潦倒 ， 相反 ， 他 的 音乐 透露 出 一种 来自 人民 底层 的 健康 而 深沉 的 气息 。 阿炳用 他 的 生命 凝成 了 《 二泉映月 》 等 不朽 作品 。

阿炳共 留下 《 二泉映月 》《 听松 》《 寒 春风 曲 》 等 三首 二胡 作品 和 《 大浪淘沙 》《 龙船 》《 昭君 出塞 》 等 三首 琵琶 作品 ， 其中 《 二泉映月 》 获 二十世纪 华人 经典音乐 作品 奖 。
