愚公 移山 (The Foolish Old Man Removes the Mountains)

很久很久 以前 ， 有 两座 山 ， 一座 叫 太行山 ， 一座 叫 王屋山 。 山下 住 着 一个 老人 ， 名字 叫 愚公 ， 意思 是 傻 老头 。 愚公 很 老 了 ， 头发 和 胡子 都 是 白 的 。

有 一天 ， 愚公 不 高兴 了 。 他 的 孩子 们 都 很 关心 他 ， 他们 担心 地问 爸爸 怎么 了 。 愚公 说 ：“ 你们 看 ， 我们 家 门前 有 两座 大山 ， 影响 了 家人 的 生活 ， 我们 出门 很 不 方便 。 ” 老人 又 说 ：“ 为什么 我们 不能 把 这 两座 山 挖 了 ？ 这样 我们 就 可以 想 去 哪儿 就 去 哪儿 了 ！ ”

老人 的 儿子 们 都 很 爱 他 ， 他们 都 同意 愚公 的话 ， 说 ：“ 爸爸 想 的 都 是 对 的 ， 那 我们 开始 挖山 吧 ！ ”

第二天 ， 愚公 和 他 的 儿子 还有 孙子 很 早就 起来 了 ， 他们 拿 着 工具 开始 挖山 了 。 邻居家 有个 小孩 也 跑 来 帮忙 。

愚公 有个 邻居 叫智叟 ， 意思 是 聪明 的 老人 。 智叟 看到 愚公 一家 每天 都 很 忙 , 就 问 他们 说 ：“ 你们 到底 在 做 什么 ？ ” 愚公 笑 着 回答 ：“ 我们 要 把 这 两座 山 挖 了 。 ”

智叟 惊奇 地说 ：“ 你 真傻 ， 这么 大 的 两座 山 ， 你 怎么 能 挖掉 呢 ？ ”

愚公 说 ：“ 没关系 ， 我 死 了 ， 还有 儿子 , 儿子 死 了 还有 孙子 ， 只要 我们 一代 一代 一直 挖 ， 就 能 把 山 挖掉 。 ”

山神 听到 这些 话 很 害怕 ， 就 告诉 了 玉帝 ， 玉帝 觉得 愚公 是 个 很 勇敢 、 很 有 毅力 的 老人 ， 就让 山神 把 这 两座 山 搬走 了 。

很久很久 以前 ， 有 两座 山 ， 一座 叫 太行山 ， 一座 叫 王屋山 。 A long, long time ago, there were two mountains, one called Taihang Mountain and the other called Wangwu Mountain. 山下 住 着 一个 老人 ， 名字 叫 愚公 ， 意思 是 傻 老头 。 At the bottom of the mountain lived an old man named Yugong, which means "silly old man". 愚公 很 老 了 ， 头发 和 胡子 都 是 白 的 。 Yugongo was very old, his hair and beard were white.

The Jade Emperor thought that Yugong was a very brave and persevering old man, so he asked the mountain gods to remove the two mountains.
