在 很久以前 ， 有个 巨人 叫 夸父 。 A long time ago, there was a giant named Quatre. 他 很 高 ， 很 有 力气 ， 也 跑 得 很快 。 He is very tall, very strong and runs very fast. 夸父 是 个 非常 好 的 人 ， 他 的 邻居 和 朋友 都 喜欢 他 。 Quatre is a very good man, and his neighbors and friends like him.

他 跑 去 喝 河里 的 水 ， 河水 很快 被 喝完 了 。 He ran to drink from the river, and the water was soon finished. 他 跑 去 喝 湖里 的 水 ， 湖里 的 水 也 很快 被 喝完 了 。 He ran to drink from the lake, and the water in the lake was soon finished. 夸父 没有 水喝 了 ， 就 倒 了 下来 ， 死 了 。 Quatre had no more water to drink, so he collapsed and died. 夸父 死后 ， 他 的 手杖 变成 了 一片 桃 树林 。 After his death, his staff became a peach grove.
