約翰福音5 John 5

這事 以後 ， 到 了 猶太人 的 一個 節期 ， 耶穌 就 上 耶路撒冷 去 。 After this, at a festival of the Jews, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 在 耶路撒冷 ， 靠近 羊門 有 一個 池子 ， 希伯來 話 叫作 畢士大 ， 旁邊 有 五個 廊子 ； 裡面 躺 著 瞎眼 的 、 瘸腿 的 、 血氣 枯乾 的 許多 病人 。 In Jerusalem, near the Sheep Gate, there was a pool called Bethesda in Hebrew, and there were five porches beside it; and in it lay many sick, blind, lame, and withered. （ 有古卷 在 此 有 ： 等候 水 動 ； 因為 有 天使 按時 下 池子 攪動 那水 ， 水動 之後 ， 誰 先 下去 ， 無論 害 甚麼 病 就 痊愈 了 。 (There is an ancient scroll here: Wait for the water to move; for an angel goes down to the cistern to stir the water, and after the water moves, whoever goes down first will be healed of whatever disease he has. ） 在 那裡 有 一個 人 ， 病 了 三十八年 。 耶穌 看見 他 躺 著 ， 知道 他病 了 許久 ， 就問 他 說 ： 你 要 痊 瘉 麼 ？ 病人 回答 說 ： 先生 ， 水動 的 時候 ， 沒有 人 把 我 放在 池子 裡 ； 我 正 去 的 時候 ， 就 有 別人 比 我 先 下去 。 The patient replied: Sir, when the water was moving, no one put me in the pool; when I was going, someone else went down before me. 耶穌 對 他 說 ： 起來 ， 拿 你 的 褥子 走罷 ！ 那 人 立刻 痊愈 ， 就 拿 起 褥子 來 走 了 。 那天 是 安息日 ， 所以 猶太人 對 那 醫好 的 人 說 ： 今天 是 安息日 ， 你 拿 褥子 是 不可 的 。 That day was the Sabbath, so the Jews said to the man who was healed: Today is the Sabbath, and you must not take the bed. 他 卻 回答 說 ： 那使 我 痊愈 的 ， 對 我 說 ： 拿 你 的 褥子 走罷 。 But he answered: He who made me well said to me: Take your bed and go. 他們 問他 說 ： 對 你 說 拿 褥子 走 的 是 甚麼 人 ？ 那 醫好 的 人 不 知道 是 誰 ； 因為 那裡 的 人 多 ， 耶穌 已經 躲開 了 。 The man who was healed did not know who it was; because there were many there, Jesus had fled. 後來 耶穌 在 殿裡 遇見 他 ， 對 他 說 ： 你 已經 痊愈 了 ， 不要 再 犯罪 ， 恐怕 你 遭遇 的 更加 利害 。 Then Jesus met him in the temple, and said to him, You are healed, do not sin again, lest what will happen to you will be worse. 那 人 就 去 告訴 猶太人 ， 使 他 痊愈 的 是 耶穌 。 The man went and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. 所以 猶太人 逼迫 耶穌 ， 因為 他 在 安息日 做 了 這事 。 耶穌 就 對 他們 說 ： 我父 做事 直到 如今 ， 我 也 做事 。 Jesus said to them: My Father has done things until now, and I have also done things. 所以 猶太人 越發 想要 殺 他 ； 因 他 不但 犯 了 安息日 ， 並且 稱 神 為 他 的 父 ， 將 自己 和 神 當作 平等 。 耶穌 對 他們 說 ： 我 實實在在 的 告訴 你們 ， 子 憑 著 自己 不能 做 甚麼 ， 惟有 看見 父所 做 的 ， 子 才能 做 ； 父所 做 的 事 ， 子 也 照樣 做 。 Jesus said to them, I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself, but he can do what he sees the Father do; and what the Father does, the Son also does. 父愛 子 ， 將 自己 所 做 的 一切 事 指 給 他 看 ， 還要 將 比 這更大 的 事 指 給 他 看 ， 叫 你們 希奇 。 The Father loves the Son, and he shows him all that he has done, and he will show him even greater things than these, to amaze you. 父 怎樣 叫 死 人 起來 ， 使 他們 活著 ， 子 也 照樣 隨 自己 的 意思 使 人 活著 。 As the Father raises up the dead and makes them alive, so the Son makes them alive as he wills. 父 不 審判 甚麼 人 ， 乃 將 審判 的 事 全 交 與 子 ， 叫 人 都 尊敬 子 如同 尊敬 父 一樣 。 The Father judges no one, but entrusts all judgment to the Son, so that all may honor the Son as they honor the Father. 不 尊敬 子 的 ， 就是 不 尊敬 差 子 來 的 父 。 我 實實在在 的 告訴 你們 ， 那 聽 我 話 、 又 信差 我 來者 的 ， 就 有 永生 ； 不至於 定罪 ， 是 已經 出死入生 了 。 I tell you the truth, he who hears my words and believes in him who sent me has eternal life; he will not be condemned, but he has passed from death to life. 我 實實在在 的 告訴 你們 ， 時候 將到 ， 現在 就是 了 ， 死人 要 聽見 神 兒子 的 聲音 ， 聽見 的 人 就要 活 了 。 I tell you the truth, the time is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. 因為 父 怎樣 在 自己 有 生命 ， 就 賜給 他 兒子 也 照樣 在 自己 有 生命 ， 並且 因為 他 是 人 子 ， 就 賜給 他行 審判 的 權柄 。 For as the Father has life in himself, so he gave the Son to have life in himself, and because he is the Son of man he has given him authority to execute judgment. 你們 不要 把 這事 看作 希奇 。 時候 要 到 ， 凡 在 墳墓 裡的 ， 都 要 聽見 他 的 聲音 ， 就 出來 ； 行善 的 ， 復活 得生 ； 作惡 的 ， 復活 定罪 。 The time is coming when all who are in the graves will hear his voice and come out; those who do good will be raised to life, and those who have done evil will be raised to be condemned. 我 憑 著 自己 不能 做 甚麼 ， 我 怎麼 聽見 就 怎麼 審判 。 I can't do anything by myself, and I will judge as I hear. 我 的 審判 也 是 公平 的 ； 因為 我 不 求 自己 的 意思 ， 只求 那差 我 來者 的 意思 。 我 若 為 自己 作 見證 ， 我 的 見證 就 不 真 。 If I testify for myself, my testimony is not true. 另有 一位 給我作 見證 ， 我 也 知道 他給 我作 的 見證 是 真的 。 Another testified to me, and I know that his testimony to me is true. 你們 曾 差 人 到 約翰 那裡 ， 他 為 真理 作 過 見證 。 You have sent to John, and he has testified of the truth. 其實 ， 我 所 受 的 見證 不 是從 人來 的 ； 然而 ， 我 說 這些 話 ， 為 要 叫 你們 得救 。 Actually, the testimony I have received is not from men; however, I say these things that you may be saved. 約翰 是 點 著 的 明燈 ， 你們 情願 暫時 喜歡 他 的 光 。 John is a burning lamp, and you would rather like his light for a while. 但 我 有 比 約翰 更大 的 見證 ； 因為 父 交給 我要 我 成就 的 事 ， 就是 我 所 做 的 事 ， 這 便 見證 我 是 父所 差來 的 。 But I have a greater testimony than John; for I do what the Father has given me to do, and this testifies that I am sent by the Father. 差 我 來 的 父 也 為 我 作 過 見證 。 The Father who sent me also testified of me. 你們 從來 沒有 聽見 他 的 聲音 ， 也 沒有 看見 他 的 形像 。 你們 並 沒有 他 的 道 存在 心裡 ； 因為 他 所 差來 的 ， 你們 不 信 。 You do not have his word in your hearts; for you do not believe what he has sent. 你們 查考 聖經 （ 或作 ： 應當 查考 聖經 ）， 因 你們 以為 內 中 有 永生 ； 給 我 作 見證 的 就是 這經 。 You search the scriptures (or: you should search the scriptures), because you think that you have eternal life in them; these are the scriptures that testify to me. 然而 ， 你們 不肯 到 我 這裡 來得 生命 。 However, you will not come to me to have life. 我 不 受 從 人來 的 榮耀 。 I do not receive glory from men. 但 我 知道 ， 你們 心裡 沒有 神 的 愛 。 But I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts. 我 奉 我父 的 名來 ， 你們 並不 接待 我 ； 若有 別人 奉 自己 的 名來 ， 你們 倒 要 接待 他 。 I came in my Father's name, and you did not receive me; but if anyone else came in his own name, you would receive him. 你們 互相 受 榮耀 ， 卻 不 求 從 獨一 之 神 來 的 榮耀 ， 怎能 信 我 呢 ？ How can you believe in me that you receive glory from one another, and do not seek glory from the one God? 不要 想 我 在 父 面前 要 告 你們 ； 有 一位 告 你們 的 ， 就是 你們 所 仰賴 的 摩西 。 Do not think that I will sue you before the Father; there is one who will sue you, Moses, on whom you have trusted. 你們 如果 信 摩西 ， 也 必信 我 ， 因為 他 書上 有 指著 我 寫 的話 。 If you believe in Moses, you will also believe in me, because he has written about me in his book. 你們 若不信 他 的 書 ， 怎能 信 我 的話 呢 ？ If you do not believe his books, how can you believe my words?
