約翰福音16

我 已將 這些 事 告訴 你們 ， 使 你們 不至於 跌倒 。 人要 把 你們 趕 出 會堂 ， 並且 時候 將到 ， 凡 殺 你們 的 就 以 為 是 事奉 神 。 You will be thrown out of the synagogues, and the time will come when whoever kills you will think he is serving God. 他們 這樣 行 ， 是 因 未曾 認識 父 ， 也 未曾 認識 我 。 They do this because they have not known the Father, and they have not known Me. 我將 這事 告訴 你們 ， 是 叫 你們 到 了 時候 可以 想起 我 對 你們 說過 了 。 我 起先 沒有 將 這事 告訴 你們 ， 因為 我 與 你們 同 在 。 I did not tell you this at first, because I was with you. 現今 我往 差 我 來 的 父 那裡 去 ， 你們 中間 並 沒有 人問 我 ： 你 往 那裡 去 ？ Now I go to the Father who sent me, and none of you asks me: Where are you going? 只因 我將 這事 告訴 你們 ， 你們 就 滿心 憂愁 。 You are filled with sorrow because I have told you this. 然而 ， 我將 真情 告訴 你們 ， 我 去 是 與 你們 有益 的 ； 我 若 不 去 ， 保惠師 就 不到 你們 這裡 來 ； 我 若 去 ， 就 差 他 來 。 However, I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go; if I do not go, the Comforter will not come to you; if I go, I will send him. 他 既 來 了 ， 就要 叫 世人 為罪 、 為義 、 為 審判 ， 自己 責備 自己 。 When he comes, he will convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. 為罪 ， 是 因 他們 不信 我 ； 為義 ， 是 因 我 往父 那裡 去 ， 你們 就 不再 見 我 ； 為 審判 ， 是 因 這 世界 的 王受 了 審判 。 For sin, because they did not believe in me; for righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; for judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 我 還有 好些 事要 告訴 你們 ， 但 你們 現在 擔當 不了 （ 或作 ： 不能 領會 ）。 I still have many things to tell you, but you can't bear them now (or: can't comprehend them). 只 等 真理 的 聖靈 來 了 ， 他 要 引導 你們 明白 （ 原文 作 進入 ） 一切 的 真理 ； 因為 他 不是 憑 自己 說 的 ， 乃是 把 他 所 聽見 的 都 說 出來 ， 並要 把 將來 的 事 告訴 你們 。 But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak of himself, but what he has heard, and will tell you what is to come. 他 要 榮耀 我 ， 因為 他 要 將 受 於 我 的 告訴 你們 。 He will glorify me, because he will tell you what he has received from me. 凡父 所有 的 ， 都 是 我 的 ； 所以 我 說 ， 他 要 將受 於 我 的 告訴 你們 。 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I say, He will take mine and tell you. 等 不多時 ， 你們 就 不得 見 我 ； 再 等 不多時 ， 你們 還要 見 我 。 Wait a little longer, and you will not see me; and wait a little longer, and you will see me. 有 幾個 門徒 就 彼此 說 ： 他 對 我們 說 ： 等 不多時 ， 你們 就 不得 見 我 ； 再 等 不多時 ， 你們 還要 見 我 ； 又 說 ： 因 我 往父 那裡 去 。 這是 甚麼 意思 呢 ？ 門徒 彼此 說 ： 他 說 等 不多時 到底 是 甚麼 意思 呢 ？ The disciples said to each other: What did he mean when he said wait a little while? 我們 不 明白 他 所說 的話 。 We don't understand what he said. 耶穌 看出 他們 要問 他 ， 就 說 ： 我 說 等 不多時 ， 你們 就 不得 見 我 ； 再 等 不多時 ， 你們 還要 見 我 ， 你們 為 這話 彼此 相問 麼 ？ 我 實實在在 的 告訴 你們 ， 你們 將要 痛哭 、 哀號 ， 世人 倒要 喜樂 ； 你們 將要 憂愁 ， 然而 你們 的 憂愁 要 變為 喜樂 。 I tell you the truth, you will weep and weep, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. 婦人 生產 的 時候 就 憂愁 ， 因為 他 的 時候 到 了 ； 既生 了 孩子 ， 就 不再 記念 那 苦楚 ， 因為 歡喜 世上 生 了 一個 人 。 When a woman gives birth, she grieves, because her hour has come; and when she bears a child, she no longer remembers the pain, because she rejoices that a man has been born into the world. 你們 現在 也 是 憂愁 ， 但 我 要 再見 你們 ， 你們 的 心 就 喜樂 了 ； 這 喜樂 也 沒有 人能 奪去 。 到 那日 ， 你們 甚麼 也 就 不問 我 了 。 Until that day, you won't ask me anything. 我 實實在在 的 告訴 你們 ， 你們 若 向 父求 甚麼 ， 他 必因 我 的 名 賜給 你們 。 向來 你們 沒有 奉 我 的 名求 甚麼 ， 如今 你們 求 ， 就 必 得著 ， 叫 你們 的 喜樂 可以 滿足 。 Until now you have asked nothing in my name, but now ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be full. 這些 事 ， 我 是 用 比喻 對 你們 說 的 ； 時候 將到 ， 我 不再 用 比喻 對 你們 說 ， 乃要 將父 明明 的 告訴 你們 。 These things I have spoken to you in parables; the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in parables, but will tell you plainly of the Father. 到 那日 ， 你們 要 奉 我 的 名 祈求 ； 我並 不 對 你們 說 ， 我要 為 你們 求 父 。 In that day you shall ask in my name; I do not say to you, I will ask the Father for you. 父 自己 愛 你們 ； 因為 你們 已經 愛我 ， 又 信 我 是從 父 出來 的 。 The Father himself loves you; because you have loved me and believed that I am from the Father. 我 從父 出來 ， 到 了 世界 ； 我 又 離開 世界 ， 往父 那裡 去 。 門徒 說 ： 如今 你 是 明說 ， 並 不用 比喻 了 。 現在 我們 曉得 你 凡事 都 知道 ， 也 不用 人問 你 ， 因此 我們 信 你 是從 神 出來 的 。 Now we know that you know everything and no one needs to ask you, so we believe that you are from God. 耶穌 說 ： 現在 你們 信麼 ？ Jesus said: Do you believe now? 看 哪 ， 時候 將到 ， 且 是 已經 到 了 ， 你們 要 分散 ， 各歸 自己 的 地方 去 ， 留下 我 獨自一人 ； 其實 我 不是 獨自一人 ， 因為 有父 與 我 同 在 。 Behold, the time is coming, and it has come, when you shall scatter, each to his own place, and leave me alone; but I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 我將 這些 事 告訴 你們 ， 是 要 叫 你們 在 我裡面 有 平安 。 I tell you these things so that you may have peace in me. 在 世上 ， 你們 有 苦難 ； 但 你們 可以 放心 ， 我 已經 勝 了 世界 。
