約翰福音1

太初 有道 ， 道 與 神 同在 ， 道 就是 神 。 這道 太初 與 神同 在 。 萬物 是 藉 著 他 造 的 ； 凡 被 造 的 ， 沒有 一樣 不是 藉 著 他 造 的 。 生命 在 他 裡頭 ， 這 生命 就是 人 的 光 。 In him was life, and this life was the light of men. 光照 在 黑暗 裡 ， 黑暗 卻 不 接受 光 。 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 有 一個 人 ， 是從 神 那裡 差 來 的 ， 名叫 約翰 。 這人 來 ， 為 要 作 見證 ， 就是 為 光 作 見證 ， 叫 眾人 因 他 可以 信 。 This man came to bear witness, that of the light, that all may believe through him. 他 不是 那光 ， 乃是 要 為 光 作 見證 。 He is not the light, but to testify of the light. 那 光是 真光 ， 照亮 一切 生 在 世上 的 人 。 他 在 世界 ， 世界 也 是 藉 著 他 造 的 ， 世界 卻 不 認識 他 。 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, but the world did not know him. 他 到 自己 的 地方 來 ， 自己 的 人 倒 不 接待 他 。 He came to his own place, and his own people did not receive him. 凡 接待 他 的 ， 就是 信 他 名 的 人 ， 他 就 賜 他們 權柄 ， 作 神 的 兒女 。 To all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. 這等 人 不 是從 血氣 生 的 ， 不 是從 情慾 生 的 ， 也 不 是從 人意 生 的 ， 乃是 從 神 生 的。 Such are not born of the flesh, nor of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 道 成 了 肉身 ， 住在 我們 中間 ， 充充 滿滿 的 有 恩典 有 真理 。 The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. 我們 也 見過 他 的 榮光 ， 正是 父 獨 生子 的 榮光 。 We have also seen his glory, the glory of the only begotten Son of the Father. 約翰 為 他 作 見證 ， 喊 著 說 ：「 這 就是 我 曾 說 ：『 那 在 我 以 後來 的 ， 反 成 了 在 我 以前 的 ， 因 他 本來 在 我 以前。 John, who testified of him, cried out, "This is what I said, 'He who came after me became before me, because he was before me. 』」 從 他 豐滿 的 恩典 裡 ， 我們 都 領受 了 ， 而且 恩 上 加 恩 。 '" From the fullness of His grace, we have all received, grace upon grace. 律法 本是 藉 著 摩西 傳 的 ； 恩典 和 真理 都 是 由 耶穌基督 來 的 。 The law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 從來 沒有 人 看見 神 ， 只有 在 父 懷裡 的 獨生子 將他 表明 出來 。 No one has ever seen God, but the only begotten Son in the bosom of the Father has revealed him. 約翰 所作 的 見證 記在 下面 ： 猶太人 從 耶路撒冷 差 祭司 和 利未人 到 約翰 那裡 ， 問他 說 ：「 你 是 誰 ？ The testimony of John is recorded as follows: The Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to John and asked him, "Who are you? 」 他 就 明說 ， 並不 隱瞞 ， 明說 ：「 我 不是 基督 。」 他們 又 問他 說 ：「 這樣 ， 你 是 誰 呢 ？ 是 以 利亞 嗎 ？ 」 他 說 ：「 我 不是 。」 「 是 那 先知 嗎 ？ 」 他 回答 說 ：「 不是 。」 於是 他們 說 ：「 你 到底 是 誰 ， 叫 我們 好 回覆 差 我們 來 的 人 。 So they said, "Who the hell are you so that we can reply to whoever sent us. 你 自己 說 ， 你 是 誰 ？ 」 他 說 ：「 我 就是 那 在 曠野 有人 聲喊 著 說 ：『 修 直 主 的 道路 』， 正如 先知 以賽亞 所說 的 。」 He said, "I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said." 那些 人 是 法利賽 人 差 來 的 （ 或作 ： 那差 來 的 是 法利賽 人 ）； 他們 就問 他 說 ：「 你 既 不是 基督 ， 不是 以 利亞 ， 也 不是 那 先知 ， 為 甚麼 施洗 呢 ？ Those who were sent by the Pharisees (or: it was the Pharisees who sent); they asked him, "You are neither the Christ nor Elijah nor the prophet, why did you baptize? And he added, "I tell you the truth, you will see the heavens opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man."
