從前 有 一 個 好 大 、 好 靚 嘅 地方 。
呢度 有 好多 人 ， 個個 人 都 好 唔同 。
阿欣 就 係 住 喺 呢度 ， 佢 最 鍾意 聽 故仔 ， 特別 係 同 呢個 地方 有關 嘅 故仔 。
Ah Yan lives there, and she loves to listen to stories, especially those related to this place.
不過 ， 呢度 嘅 人 都 好 忙 。
However, everyone here is so busy.
有人 忙 住 返工 揾錢 ， 有人 忙 住 温書 ， 有人 忙 住 吃喝玩樂 。
Some people are busy working for money, some are busy studying, and some are busy eating and drinking.
阿欣 試 過 叫 媽媽 、 爸爸 、 同學 、 老師 講 故仔 畀 佢 聽 。
Shin has tried to tell his story to his mom, dad, classmates and teachers.
不過 ， 佢哋 全部 都 話 唔得閒 ， 仲 叫 返 阿欣 有 時間 不如 去 温書 做 功課 。
However, they all said they did not have time to spare and told Yan to study and do her homework when she had time.
直到 有 一 日 ， 佢 遇上 一 個 姐姐 。
Until one day, she met a sister.
呢個 姐姐 好 靚 ， 笑 得 好 甜 ， 仲 有 一 把 靚 聲 。
This sister is very pretty, with a sweet smile and a beautiful voice.
阿欣 問 佢 可唔 可以 講 故仔 畀 佢 聽 ， 姐姐 笑 住 話 可以 ， 仲 問 返 阿欣 想 聽 咩 故仔 。
阿欣 就 話 咩 故仔 都 想 聽 。
Ah Yan, what story would you like to hear?
跟住 佢哋 坐低 ， 一 個 講故 ， 一 個 聽故 。
講 完 幾 個 故仔 之後 ， 本身 喺 隔籬 玩 緊 嘅 小朋友 見 到 阿欣 好 開心 噉 聽 故仔 ， 覺得 好 好奇 ， 就 走 晒 埋嚟 一齊 聽 ……
After telling a few stories, the children who were playing tightly in the neighboring area were curious when they saw how happy Ah Yan was listening to the stories, so they came over to listen to the stories. ......
姐姐 講 完 一 個 又 一 個 故仔 ， 埋嚟 聽 佢 講 故仔 嘅 人 越嚟越 多 。
Sister told story after story, and more and more people came to listen to her stories.
原來 佢 講 嘅 故仔 全部 都 同 佢哋 住 緊 嘅 地方 有關 —— 雖然 佢哋 住 咗 喺度 好 耐 ， 佢哋 唔 知 嘅 事 都 仲 有 好多 —— 好彩 有 姐姐 ， 佢哋 先 可以 發現 同 重拾 返 呢啲 大大小小 嘅 軼事 。
It turns out that all of her stories are related to the place where she lives - although she has lived there for a long time, there are so many things she doesn't know - and it is fortunate that with her sister, they are able to discover and revisit all of these anecdotes, big and small.
之後 ， 阿欣 同 其他 小朋友 日日 都 嚟 聽 姐姐 講故仔 。
去到 後來 ， 佢哋 唔止 聽故 ， 仲 學 埋 點樣 講故 ！
大家 講故 嘅 時候 都 會 加 唔同 嘢 ， 所以 個個 講 嘅 故仔 都 唔同 。
一傳十 ， 十傳百 ， 好 快 連 啲 大人 都 聽 到 佢哋 嘅 故仔 。
啲 大人 而家 先 知 原來 喺 佢哋 忙 緊 嘅 時候 ， 喺 小朋友 中間 已經 興起 咗 講故 聽故 嘅 潮流 ！
Adults know that while they are busy, there is already a trend of story-telling among children!
冇 幾耐 ， 佢哋 都 好似 啲 小朋友 噉 ， 開始 聽 更 多 人 嘅 故仔 ， 仲 同 其他 人 講 自己 嘅 故仔 ……
After a few days, they are like little kids who start to listen to more people's stories and tell their own stories to others ......
漸漸 噉 ， 呢個 地方 啲 人 放慢 手上 嘅 工作 ， 花 多 咗 時間 停低 聽故 講故 。
Gradually, people in this place slowed down their work and spent more time listening to stories.
個個 人 都 開心 咗 好多 。
但係 市長 就 唔係 咁 開心 喇 —— 因為 佢 覺得 啲 人 做嘢 慢 咗 ！
But the Mayor is not so happy - because he thinks that the people are slow in their work!
佢 即刻 叫 晒 啲 高官 嚟 開會 。
He immediately asked some senior officials to come to the meeting.
佢哋 諗 咗 好 耐 ， 都 諗 唔 明 點解 啲 人 做嘢 會 慢 咗 咁 多 。
過 咗 好 耐 之後 ， 佢哋 終於 諗 通 ， 原因 係 阿欣 同 姐姐 搞 到 大家 掛住 聽故 講故 而 冇心 做嘢 ！
After a long time, they finally figured out the reason why Shin and her sister had made them so busy listening to stories that they did not want to do anything!
佢哋 叫 咗 阿欣 同 姐姐 嚟 問話 。
「 你哋 點解 要 講 咁 多 故仔 ， 搞 到 啲 人 掛 住 聽 故仔 唔 做嘢 ？ 」
"Why do you have to tell so many stories, so that some people will hang around listening to stories and not doing anything? "¡Ó
市長 問 。
阿欣 見到 呢度 啲 人 全部 都 好 嬲 噉 望 住 佢 ， 就 好 驚 噉 捉 住 姐姐 隻 手 ， 細細聲 話 ： 「 我哋 只不過 講 返 自己 喺 呢個 地方 嘅 成長 經歷 …… 」
When Ah Yan saw that all the people were looking at her in anger, she grabbed her sister's hand in surprise and whispered, "We are only talking about our own experiences in this place ......".
姐姐 接住 話 ： 「 大家 都 將 自己 嘅 故事 講 出嚟 ， 先 會 知道 呢個 地方 發生 過 咩 事 ， 然後 更加 鍾意 呢個 地方 。
Sister picked up the conversation, "Everyone tells their own stories, so that we will first know what has happened in the place, and then we will love it even more," she said.
市長 咁 想 知道 大家 點解 咁 鍾意 講 故仔 ， 不如 試 下 出街 聽 下 大家 嘅 故仔 ？
The Mayor would like to know why people are so interested in talking about old stories, why don't you try going out and listening to people's stories?
話唔定 你 聽 完 ， 都 會 想 講 下 自己 嘅 故仔 ， 做 個 講故人 呢 ？ 」

一 個 月 後 ， 市長 又 叫 阿欣 同 姐姐 嚟 。
不過 呢 次 唔係 問話 ， 而係 要 佢哋 聽 市長 講 故仔 呀 ！
But this is not a question, it is for them to listen to the Mayor's story!
