阿南 西 與 智慧 Anansi and Wisdom

好耐好 耐 之前 ，人類 乜 都 唔 識。 For a long, long time, mankind knew nothing. 佢哋 唔 識 點 耕田 織布 ，亦 都 唔 識點 做 鐵 嘢。 They don't know how to plow the fields and weave cloth, nor do they know how to make iron. 因為 天上 嘅 尼亞美 神 將 世界 所有 智慧 都 柄埋 响 個 瓦煲 入面。 Because the god Niamey in the sky buried all the wisdom of the world into the clay pot.

有日 ，尼亞美 決定 將 智慧 瓦煲 交 俾 蜘蛛 神 阿南 西。 One day, Niamey decided to hand over the wisdom clay pot to Anansi, the spider god. 每次 阿南 西 打開 瓦煲 睇 入 去 ，佢 就 會 學到 新 嘢 ，真 係 好 興奮！ Every time Anansi opened the clay pot and looked in, he learned something new, so excited!

貪心 嘅 阿南 西同 自己 講 ， 「我 將瓦煲 擺 响 樹頂 上面 ，噉 樣 所有 嘅 智慧 都 剩 係 屬於 我 嘅！ Greedy Anansi said to himself, "I will throw the clay pot on top of the tree, so that all wisdom remains mine! 」 所以 ，佢 織 咗 條 長長 嘅 絲線 出 嚟 ，將瓦煲 綑 實 ，然後 將 絲線 另外 一端 綁住 响 自己 個 肚度。 So, he wove a long piece of silk thread out, tied the clay pot firmly, and then tied the other end of the thread to his stomach. 佢 開始 擒 上 嗰 棵 樹 ， 但 係 瓦煲 成日 撞 到 自己 隻 腳 ，擒 起上嚟 好 辛苦。 He started to grab the tree, but it was very hard to grab because the clay pot hit his foot all the time.

阿南 西個 仔由 樹 底下 乜 都 見到 晒 啦。 Ananxi can see everything from under the tree. 佢 同 阿南 西講 ，「將瓦煲 孭 住 喺 背脊 上面 咪 就 更加 容易 囉？ He said to Anansi, "Wouldn't it be easier to put the clay pot on the back? 」 於是乎 阿南 西 就 孭 起 咗 個 瓦煲 ，果然 容易 好多。 So Anansi built a clay pot, which was much easier.

阿南 西好 快 就 爬 到 樹頂 上。 Anansi quickly climbed to the top of the tree. 但 係 佢 突然 諗 到 一個 問題 ： 「世界 所有 嘅 智慧 而家 應該 係 屬於 我 嘅 啦 ，但 係 頭先 我個 仔 竟然 叻 過我 嘞 喎！ But he suddenly thought of a question: "All the wisdom in the world should belong to me now, but first my son surpassed me! 」 阿南 西 激 到 爭啲 跳 起上嚟 ，佢 嬲 到 竟然 將個 瓦煲 掟 落地 下。 Anansi was so excited that he jumped up, and he was so stunned that he threw a clay pot to the ground.

瓦煲 一 落地 就 變成 碎片。 The clay pot shattered into pieces as soon as it hit the ground. 瓦煲 打爛 咗 ，世界 所有 嘅 智慧 亦 都 走 咗 出 嚟 ，等 大家 自由 分享。 The clay pot was smashed, and all the wisdom of the world has also come out, waiting for everyone to share freely. 就 係 噉 ，世界 嘅 人民 先至 學識 點 耕田 、點 織布 ，點 打鐵 做 鐵器 ，仲有 所有 而家 啲 人識 做 嘅 一切。 In this way, the people of the world first learned how to plow the fields, how to weave cloth, how to forge iron to make iron tools, and everything that people know how to make now.
