Пачуў гэта мядзведзь і просіцца ў селяніна: he heard|this|the bear|and|he is asking||the peasant The bear heard this and asked the peasant:

Мядзведзь кажа селяніну: the bear|says|to the peasant The bear says to the peasant:

Сказала і пабегла ў лес. she said|and|she ran||the forest She said and ran into the forest. Мядзведзь дужа напужаўся стральцоў, просіць селяніна: the bear|very|he got scared|of the shooters|he asks|the peasant The bear was very scared of the shooters, he asks the peasant:

А сабакі стаяць, лісіцу вартуюць, з нары не выпускаюць. but|the dogs|they stand|the fox|they guard|from|the den|not|they let out And the dogs are standing, guarding the fox, not letting her out of the den.

Надакучыла лісіцы ў нары сядзець, парашыла яна ад сабак адкупіцца. I got tired|the fox||the den|to sit|she decided|she|from|the dogs|to pay off The fox got tired of sitting in the den, she decided to bribe the dogs.

— Вочы, вочы, — кажа лісіца, — што вы рабілі, як я ад сабак уцякала? eyes|eyes|she says|the fox|that|you|you did|when|I|from|the dogs|I was escaping |eyes|||||||||| — Eyes, eyes, — says the fox, — what were you doing while I was escaping from the dogs?

— Слухалі, ці блізка сабакі. we listened|whether|close|dogs — We listened to see if the dogs were close.

— А вы, ногі? and|you|legs — And you, legs?
