في بلد بعيد، كان يعيش هناك شقيقان: علي بابا وقاسم.

كانَ علي بابا الحطاب الفقير رجلا طيبا وصادقا

وفي الوقت نفسه، كانَ قاسم الأخ الأكبر رجلا غيورا وجشعا و لهُ قلب شرير

في أحد الأيام، عندما كان علي بابا يقطع ويجمع الحطب في الغابة

رأى مجموعة كبيرة مِنَ الفرسان يأتون نحوه

صعد إلى شجرة وهو يرتجف مِن الخوف

حتى حماره شعر بالخوف لدرجة أن المسكين اختبئ وراء الشجيرات

"يا إلهي! 1..2 ... 3 ... 40 !

أعتقد أنَّ هؤلاء هم اللصوص الأربعون المشهورون الذين يسرقون الذهب والمجوهرات مِن الآخرين.

مِنَ الأفضل أنْ أبقى هنا حتى يرحلوا!"

بدأ علي بابا بمراقبة اللصوص الأربعين بدافع الفضول

ترجل زعيم اللصوص عنْ حصانه أمام صخرة وصرخ

افتح يا سمسم

بصوت تحطم عال، فتحت الصخرة التي كانت على هيئة باب ودخل الرجال الكهف

مِنَ الأفضل ألا أنزل عَنِ الشجرة، سأنتظر هنا.

يوجد جعاب مع الجميع

مِنَ المحتمل أنهم يحتفظون بالمسروقات داخل الكهف. يا إلهي، ساعدني!

خائفا ومندهشا، لم يتحرك علي بابا وظل صامتا

بعد فترة، فتحت الصخرة الضخمة مِنْ جديد وخرج اللصوص

أغلق يا سمسم!

غادر اللصوص يمتطون خيولهم مرة أخرى.

على الرغم مِنْ أنَّ علي بابا كانَ خائفا

إلا أنه كانَ فضوليا للغاية

نزل عن الشجرة، ومشى إلى مدخل الكهف فقط بعد أنْ كانَ متأكدا مِنْ أنَّ اللصوص قد ذهبوا.

قال الكلمات السحرية

افتح يا سمسم!

فتح باب الكهف بصوت صرير

ياه. لقد فتح عندما قلت الكلمات السحرية أيضاً.

دخل علي بابا الكهف مترددا قليلا

كان الظلام سائدا في الداخل

أدى ممر ضيق إلى عمق الكهف

بعد المشي لبضع دقائق، وصل إلى مكان مفتوح كانَ هذا حيث احتفظ اللصوص بكل ما لديهم مِنْ كنوز! دهش علي بابا بما رآه

لم يستطع أنْ يصدق عينيه

جميع الذهب والمجوهرات والقطع النقدية التي سرقها اللصوص كانت مكدسة

كانَ مندهشا للغاية

يا إلهي!

هذا هو المكان الذي يحتفظون فيه بالسلع المسروقة

يا له مِنْ كنز كبير. يعلم الله مِنْ أين ومنْ مَنْ سرقوا كل هذا.

وأيا كانَ! سآخذ كيسا مليئا مِنْ هذا وأرحل قبل أنْ يعود اللصوص

افتح يا سمسم!

ركب حماره وتوجه إلى البيت

عندما وصل، أخبر زوجته بكل شيءٍ.

لقد فرحت كَثيرا بثروتهما الكبيرة، لكنها كانت متوترة للغاية سنقرر ما يجب فعله بها لاحقا. أعتقد انك محقة. لكني أتساءل عن كمية الذهب الموجود هنا. وانا ايضا. هل علينا ان نعدهم؟ العد بالقطعة ليس بالأمر الجيد. اطلبي من أخي قاسم ان يعيرنا ميزانه. سنقوم بوزنها ثم نخبيها. .في اليوم التالي ذهبت زوجة علي بابا الى منزل قاسم لاستعارۃ الميزان صباح الخير. هل أستطيع استعارة ميزانكم؟ ، كانت زوجة قاسم امراة فضولية جدا لذا قبل تسليم الميزان لزوجة علي بابا، . وضعت لبانا تحت كفتي الميزان .أرادت ان تعرف ما الذي يريدون وزنه عندما عادت زوجة علي بابا الى المنزل، سلمت الميزان الى علي بابا وبداا في وزن الذهب. ثم دفناه في الحديقة كما اتفقا. في اليوم التالي، أعادا الميزان من دون ملاحظة القطعة الذهبية التي علقت باللبان تحت كفة الميزان. دهش قاسم وزوجته عندما وجدا القطعة الذهبية. يا الهي! أين وجد أخي هذه النقود الذهبية؟ ليس لدي ادنى فكرة. اعتقدت انهم سيزنون الطحين او شييا اخر. لكنهم كانوا يزنون ذهبا! علي ان أكتشف الامر! سأعرف الحقيقة منه! لانه كان إنسانا جشعا، هرع الى منزل علي بابا ليعرف من اين حصل على النقود الذهبية. مرحبا يا علي. حدث شيء غريب. لقد وجدت عملة ذهبية عالقة في إحدى كفتي الميزان. انت حطاب فقير. من أين أتت تلك النقود الذهبية؟ لم يكن علي بابا يريد الإجابة في البداية، لكن بما انه لم يستطع ان يكذب، فقد أخبر اخاه بكل شيء. لمعرفته بمدى جشع شقيقه، حذره مقدما. إياك ان تذهب الى هناك. تلك العملات الذهبية ليست لنا. يمكن ان يقتلنا اللصوص اذا اكتشفوا! حسنا حسنا... انت فعلا جبان، لهذا كنت وستبقى دايما حطابا فقيرا. ها ها ها! ولان قاسما كان يحب المال والذهب جدا، تجاهل تحذير أخيه. أخذ حمارين وهرع الى الكهف الذي اخبره عنه علي بابا. افتح يا سمسم. فتح الباب على الفور. كان مبهورا للغاية بكل الذهب الذي راه حتى انه بدأ يتدحرج على أكوام الذهب. مرحى! انا ثري! حمل الصناديق بالذهب وسار الى المخرج، لكن بمجرد وصوله، لم يستطع تذكر الكلمات السحرية. ما الذي سافعله الآن؟ هل كانت الأرز؟ افتح يا أرز! لا لا! قمح، يجب ان تكون هي. افتح يا قمح! هل يمكن ان تكون البطاطا؟ افتح يا بطاطا! وجدتها هذه المرة. افتح يا طماطم! لا لا! لن يفتح! ماذا كانت الكلمات؟ حاول قاسم جهده ان يتذكر الكلمة السحرية عندما فتح الباب فجاة. عاد اللصوص! وقبضوا على قاسم متلبسا. من انت؟ ماذا تفعل في كهفنا؟ كيف دخلت؟ اسمي قاسم. انا شقيق علي بابا الاكبر . أخبرني عن كهفكم وأرسلني للحصول على المزيد من الذهب. رجاء سامحوني! انا بريء. اذهبوا واقبضوا على علي بابا بدلا مني. رغم ما قاله، ربط زعيم اللصوص قاسما بالحبل. الآن اخبرني اين أستطيع ان أجد علي بابا هذا. متوجسا، فعل ما قيل له. لم يكن زعيم اللصوص يريد لأي أحد معرفة كهفهم السري، لذلك أراد ان يجد علي بابا لكي يسجنه في الكهف. لم يعد قاسم ذلك اليوم، لذلك كانت زوجته تشعر بالقلق ذهبت الى منزل علي بابا واخبرته ان قاسما لم يعد. كانت حزينة جدا. شك علي بابا بما حدث. قبل مغادرته مباشرة، لاحظ وجود إشارة مرسومة على بابه. ما هذه العلامة؟ أعتقد اني أعلم ما هي .ممممم، ساعود بعد قليل. كونها امرأة ذكية ، أدركت زوجة علي بابا ان اللصوص وضعوا علامة على منزلهم . فخرجت بخطة: لقد رسمت علامة على كل باب في الحي من اجل إرباك اللصوص. في منتصف الليل، عندما جاء اللصوص الى الحي للقبض على علي بابا، رأوا ان علی كل باب علامة. لم يتمكنوا من معرفة مكان علي بابا. كل الأبواب معلمة! لا نستطيع إيجاد علي بابا. علينا العودة! في اليوم التالي، اكتشف زعيم اللصوص المكان الذي يعيش فيه علي بابا بالضبط. أخفى عصابته في أربعين برميل وملا البرميل الحادي والأربعين بالزيت. طرق باب علي بابا. مساء الخير . انا تاجر زيت. أتيت من مكان بعيد جدا. هل تسمحون لي ان اقضي الليلة هنا؟ في مقابل هذا اللطف سأعطيكم برميل الزيت هذا. ولان علي بابا كان طيب القلب أراد المساعدة لذا سمح له بالمبيت. بالتأكيد، تفضل. كنا على وشك تناول العشاء. أرجوك انضم الينا. جلسوا الى المائدة. كانت زوجة علي بابا الذكية تشك في الرجل. بينما كان علي بابا وزعيم اللصوص يأكلان، ذهبت الى القبو وتحققت من البراميل. هل ما زلتم هناك؟ نعم. هل حان الوقت؟ هل يتوجب علينا الخروج؟ ليس بعد، انتظروا تعليماتي. أدركت زوجة علي بابا ما كان يجري وهرعت الى المطبخ. قامت بغلي بعض الزيت في قدر وسكبته على أحد البراميل. صرخ اللص الذي كان مخبأا في البرميل عندما احترق وهرب من المنزل. هذا نبه اللصوص الآخرين الذين غادروا المنزل ايضا عند سماع الصراخ. بقي زعيم اللصوص فقط. ولكنه الآن أصبح خايفا فاعطى الأمر مباشرة: اخرجوا من البراميل الان. لقد حان الوقت! وللمفاجاة، رأى زوجة علي بابا وهي تحمل مغرفة مليية بالزيت المغلي وهي تقف في طريقه. حاول الهرب لتجنب نفس مصير عصابته، فقبض عليه علي بابا وابنه وقيداه بحبل وقاما بتسليمه الى السلطات. حان الوقت الان لانقاذ أخيه قاسم، هرع علي بابا إلى الكهف. افتح يا سمسم! كان قاسم سعيدا لدرجة كبيرة بروية أخيه. الحمد لله! لن أهتم للذهب او النقود مرة أخرى. كدت اموت من الخوف! أخرجني من هذا المكان يا علي بابا، أرجوك. قلت لك الا تطمع كثيرا بالأشياء الدنيوية. قد تتسبب لك بالكثير من المشاكل. بفضل علي بابا، لم يعد اللصوص الى ذلك البلد. تم توزيع النقود الذهبية بالتساوي على جميع السكان. كانت بلادهم تنعم بالرخاء. عاش علي بابا وقاسم بسعادة وسلام مع أسرتهما.
