كانَ يا مَا كانَ في قديمِ الزمانِ

كانتْ هُناكَ عَنزةٌ أمٌ و أطفالُها السبعةُ يعيشونَ بِسعادةٍ في مزرعةٍ في الغابةِ بعيداً عَنِ المدينة.

لمْ يَكنْ للحيواناتِ التي تَعيشُ في هذهِ المزرعةِ أيُّ مَالكٍ،

لِذلكَ كانوا يُديرونَ المَزرعةَ بأنفسِهِم.

كُلَّ عامٍ، يَتمُ تَرشيحُ واحدٍ منهم ليكونَ رئيساً عليهم.

و كانتِ الحيواناتُ تَقومُ بإنتاجِ طَعامِها و تَعيشُ معاً في وِئامٍ تَام.

ساعدَ القِيامُ بذلكَ في تَجنُبِ أيِّ صِراعاتٍ مُحتملةٍ في المزرعةِ.

كانتْ مُهمةُ العنزةِ الأمِ هيَ جمعُ الحليبِ منْ كلِّ حيوانٍ ينتجُ الحليبَ،

و مِنْ ثُمَّ تقومُ ببيعِهِ في السوق.

بعدهَا تُحضِرُ المالَ إلى الرئيسِ حتى يتمكنوا مِنْ استخدامِه لتلبيةِ احتياجاتِ المزرعة.

و كانَ ذلكَ العامُ دَورَ الكلبِ ليكونَ رئيساً.

كانَ مَسؤولاً عَنْ أمنِ المزرعة.

مُنذُ استلامِهِ و مِنْ وقتٍ لآخرَ،

اختفتِ الأشياءُ في المزرعةِ.

كانَ الجميعُ يعلمُ أنَّهُ خطأُ الكلبِ،

لكنْ لَمْ يَجرُؤ أحدٌ على قَولِ أيِّ شيءٍ لأنَّهم كانوا خائفينَ مِنْ نُباحِهِ وأسنانِهِ الكبيرةِ.

سَلمتِ الحيواناتُ إدارةَ المزرعةِ مِنْ دونِ رِضى إلى الكلبِ بحفلِ تنصيبٍ.

أنا لا أثقُ بالكلب.

بحثتْ جميعُ حيواناتِ المزرعةِ عنِ الفِراخِ الصغيرِة حتى وقتٍ مُتأخرٍ مِنَ المساءِ،

لكنَّهم عادوا إلى المزرعةِ خالي الوِفاض.

عِندها بدأتِ الدجاجةُ الأمُ بالنَّحيب.

لا دَاعي لهذا اليأس.

يُمكنكِ دائماً وضعُ المزيدِ مِنَ البيض.

عِندَ سَماعِ ذلكَ، اندفعتِ الدجاجةُ الأمُ باتجاهِ الكلبِ مُهاجمةً إياهُ و بدأتْ بنقرِهِ عِدةَ مراتٍ.

صُدِمَ الذئبُ الشريرُ لكنَّهُ لمْ يكنْ ليدعَ فريستَهُ تهربُ مِنْ بَينِ يديه.

ما كانَ مِنهُ إلا أنْ قفزَ مِنَ النافذةِ حاملاً الكيسَ على ظهرِهِ وهربَ.

العنزةُ الأمُ، التي استيقظتْ بسببِ صُراخِ أطفالِها، كانتْ قَدْ فَهِمَتْ ما حَدثَ

و خرجَتْ على الفورِ لكي تُلاحقَ الذئبَ.

سَاعدونِي! لقدْ سَرقَ أطفالِي الصغارَ! ساعدونِي!

بَدأتِ العنزةُ الأمُ جَنباً إلى جَنبٍ مَعَ القِطةِ و الدِّيكِ بِتقفِّي أثرِ الذئبِ الشريرِ.

لَمْ يَمضِ وقتٌ طويلٌ حتى اختفى الذئبُ في ظلامِ الليل.

جلستِ العنزةُ الأمُ على صخرةٍ و بدأتْ في البُكاءِ بشدة.

لقدْ سمعتْ صُراخَ أطفالِها، لكنْ للأسفِ لَمْ تتمكنْ مِنَ الوصولِ إليهم.

عِندها سِمعوا رَفرفةَ أجنحةٍ فوقَهم.

فتحَ الذئبُ البابَ، و بدأوا بإخراجِ الأطفالِ واحداً تلوَ الآخرِ إلى الشجرةِ المقابلةِ للمنزلِ و هم في صفٍ واحدٍ

في غُضونِ ذلكَ، رأتِ العنزةُ الأمُ ما كانَ يحدث.

هيَّا، قوموا بعملِ ما جئتُم لعملِه هنا. لكنْ كونوا سريعينَ بذلك!

قفزتِ القطةُ مِنْ على الشجرةِ حيثُ كانتْ مختبئةً، و اندفعتْ باتجاهِ الذئبِ و خدشَتْه.

و نقرَ الديكُ رأسَ الكلبِ بكُلِّ قوتِهِ.

و جاءتْ آخرُ ضربةٍ مِنَ العنزةِ الأمِ مَعْ نطحةٍ و ركلةٍ قويةٍ حيثُ ألقتْ بكُلٍّ مِنَ الذئبِ و الكلبِ على الأرضِ بلا حَراك.

كانَ الديكُ و العنزةُ الأمُ مسرورَينِ جداً لأنَّهُ تَمَّ لَمُ شملِهِمَا مَعَ أطفالِهِمَا الصغارِ.

أخذَ الديكُ فِراخَهُ الصغيرةَ تحتَ جَناحِهِ ليُشعرَهُم ببعضِ الدفءِ.

و قامتِ العنزةُ الأمُ بعناقِ أطفالِها و تقبيلِ كُلِّ واحدٍ منهم.

أولادي الأعزاء. أنا فخورةٌ للغايةِ بكمْ جميعاً.

أخذَ السيدُ بومٍ جميعَ حيواناتِ المزرعةِ إلى مكانِ الحادث.

هَا هُمْ هُناك!

أخبرتِ العنزةُ الأمُ الحيواناتِ بكلِّ ما حدث.

لقدْ تعلَّمَ الجميعُ درساً مما حصلَ.

. عادتْ جميعُ حيواناتِ المزرعةِ إلى منازلِهم و حياتِهم وعاشوا في سعادةٍ دائمةٍ، طبعاً باستثناءِ الذئبِ الشريرِ والكلبِ.
