Ottawa es la ciudad capital de Canadá. Ottawa is the capital city of Canada. Se encuentra en el sureste del país, junto al río Ottawa, frontera entre Ontario y Quebec. It is located in the southeast of the country, next to the Ottawa River, border between Ontario and Quebec. La mayor parte de sus habitantes son anglófonos y un treinta (30) por ciento francófonos. Most of its inhabitants are anglophones and thirty (30) percent francophones.

Entre mil ochocientos veintiséis (1826) y mil ochocientos treinta y ocho (1838) se construyó el canal Rideau en la zona que hoy ocupa la ciudad. Between one thousand eight hundred twenty-six (1826) and one thousand eight hundred thirty-eight (1838) the Rideau Canal was built in the area that today occupies the city.
