NARRADORA Un joven se acercó a su maestro y le preguntó:

MAESTRO ¿El poder?

JOVEN Bueno, veo la plaza, las flores, los árboles, veo niños jugando y caminando hacia la escuela.

JOVEN Veo hombres y mujeres que corren apurados a sus trabajos... también a unos enamorados que se besan sin importarles lo que suceda en el mundo… vendedores con sus canastos... ancianos sentados en los bancos del parque...

MAESTRO Entonces... ¿estás viendo la vida?

JOVEN Sí maestro, eso es, veo la vida.

MAESTRO Bien, ahora acércate a este espejo. ¿Qué ves?

JOVEN ¿Qué más puedo ver en un espejo, maestro? Sólo a mí mismo.

NARRADORA El maestro sonrió al joven y con sabiduría de muchas lunas le dijo:

MAESTRO ¿Querías entender qué es el poder? No es necesario buscar teorías en los libros. La respuesta la tienes delante de tus ojos.

JOVEN Explíqueme, maestro…

MAESTRO Escucha. La ventana está hecha de vidrio igual que el espejo,¿verdad?

JOVEN Sí, maestro.

MAESTRO Pero basta una delgada capa plateada detrás del vidrio, para que los seres humanos, atraídos por la codicia, dejen de ver la vida y sólo quieran verse a sí mismos. Eso es el poder.
