Is learning English too hard?

Learning any new language is not something that can be done overnight. It takes time and effort. But what’s the easiest way?
I found it very significant that when this question was asked on an English teaching/learning blog no fewer than 5 out of 7 comments focused on authentic content.
Books, newspapers, movies, music: anything real. Expose yourself to it, again and again, and the results will come.
