ESL/EFL blogs: Language Log

In my continuing quest to find blogs that deal with learning English, I’ve turned up the Language Log.
This one is a little different, however. It’s actually a blog by a number of linguists, and they debate the fine (and the really, really fine) points of English grammer and sentence construction.
It’s not for the faint of heart, but the more advanced English learner will find a lot to enjoy, including an extended piece on different words for men’s underwear, and a new phrase for getting up early early in the morning, or at the butt-crack of dawn.
And they wonder why linguists continue to get no respect.
