A Syrian Breakfast

I make breakfast for my family every day. I cook breakfast at half past seven. We eat a special breakfast that is typical in Syria. All Syrian people have the same breakfast. We eat green olives, Syrian cheese, hummus, black olives, Syrian oil and thyme, mixed yoghurt, Syrian bread, and makdous. Makdous is a dish of aubergines with olive oil, red pepper, garlic and salt. Sometimes we add chilli powder. We drink Syrian tea.

Breakfast is special for me because I like to cook. I also like to spend time with my family and eat together. One day I will teach my daughter to cook the dishes we eat for Syrian breakfast.
