Story 28. Thunder
One elephant says to another, “We are big and strong.”
Even the lions are afraid of us.
“Yes, that is true,” says the other elephant cheerfully.
“We are not afraid of anything.”
All of a sudden the sky turns black.
There is a loud crack of thunder.
The two elephants are running now.
They are big and they are strong, but they are afraid of thunder.
“We're not afraid of anything,”
“but let's go home anyway.”
