The Man and the Lion

A man and a lion are walking in a forest.

The man is strong and brave.

The lion is strong and brave, too.

The man and the lion argue as they walk together.

"I'm stronger than you, Lion!" says the man.

"I'm stronger than you, Man!" says the lion.

"I can pick up this rock!" says the man.

"I can pick up that, too!" says the lion.

"I can make this tree fall, Lion!" says the man.

"I can make that tree fall, too, Man!" says the lion.

"I am brave, Lion! I can fight a snake," says the man.

"A snake? Is that all, Man?" says the lion.

"I can fight a crocodile!"

They argue and argue.

"I'm braver! I can jump from here to there!" says the lion.

"I can jump from here to there, too!" says the man.

"Come with me, Lion," says the man.

"I'll show you."

They walk together to a big statue.

It is a tall statue of a man and a lion.

The man in the statue is stronger and braver than the lion.

"See!" says the man.

"I am stronger and braver!"

"No, I don't see," says the lion.

"Men make statues. Lions don't make statues."

"For a lion's statue, you will be like this...," says the lion.
