How to use Italian verbs SERVIRE and AVERE BISOGNO DI (I need or I need?).

Il verbo SERVIRE significa “essere necessario”, “essere utile”,
The verb SERVIRE means "to be necessary", "to be useful",
possiamo quindi dire che ha un significato strumentale nelle frasi di uso comune.

Ad esempio: mi servono delle forbici per tagliare questo foglio;

Abbiamo capito che il verbo "servire" indica la necessità di portare a termine un'azione tramite qualcosa o qualcuno che funziona da strumento.

La locuzione verbale AVERE BISOGNO DI: indica la necessità di procurarsi ciò che manca o ciò che è ritenuto utile

per raggiungere uno stato di benessere materiale, fisico, mentale e/o morale.

Ad esempio: ho bisogno di aiuto;

Vediamo alcuni esempi.

Ad un'occhiata superficiale, le due frasi vogliono dire la stessa cosa.

Ma se ci soffermiamo un attimo in più, vediamo che c'è una differenza evidente.
But if we pause a moment longer, we see that there is an obvious difference.
Se dico “(tu) mi servi” ha un'accezione strumentale,
If I say "mi servi" it has an instrumental meaning,
Si je dis "(de toi) j'ai besoin" ça a un sens instrumental,
mi interessa ciò che tu puoi fare per me. Va bene? È una necessità strumentale.
I am interested in what you can do for me. It is an instrumental necessity.
Al contrario, se dico “ho bisogno di te” indica una necessità emotiva,
On the contrary, if I say “ho bisogno di te" it indicates an emotional need,
sento la necessità di avere vicino a me te come persona.
I feel the need to have you close to me as a person.
Vediamo un'altra coppia di frasi per capire ancora meglio.
Let's see another couple of sentences to understand even better.
- Mi servono i soldi. - Ho bisogno di soldi.
- I need the money. - I need money.
Nel primo caso si tratta una necessità strumentale specifica.
In the first case it is a specific instrumental need.
Questa frase non riguarda la mia situazione economica,
This sentence is not about my financial situation,
ma sto esplicitando che mi servono i soldi per fare qualcosa di specifico.
but I am making it clear that I need the money to do something specific.
Ad esempio, mi servono dei soldi per andare ad un concerto, per comprare una giacca, ecc.
For example, I need money to go to a concert, to buy a jacket, etc.
Al contrario, se dico “ho bisogno di soldi” significa che mi trovo in una situazione economica critica,
On the contrary, if I say “I'm in need of money” it means that I am in a critical economic situation,
è possibile che io mi trovi in una situazione di difficoltà.

C'è una differenza tra queste frasi.
