NARRADOR A una estación de trenes, llegó una tarde una señora muy elegante. NARRATOR A very elegant lady arrived one afternoon at a train station. En la ventanilla le informaron que el tren estaba retrasado. At the window he was informed that the train was delayed.

INFORMANTE Tardará aproximadamente una hora en llegar a la estación. INFORMANT It will take about an hour to get to the station.

SEÑORA ¡Una hora! Qué fastidio... What a bummer ...

NARRADOR Resignada, la señora fue al kiosko y compró una revista, un paquete de galletitas y una lata de gaseosa. NARRATOR Resigned, the lady went to the kiosk and bought a magazine, a packet of cookies and a can of soda.

SEÑORA Qué remedio... LADY What remedy ...

NARRADOR Preparada para la forzosa espera, se sentó en uno de los largos bancos del andén. NARRATOR Prepared for the forced wait, sat on one of the long benches of the platform. NARRADOR De pronto, la señora vio, por el rabillo del ojo, cómo el muchacho, sin decir una palabra, estiró la mano, agarró el paquete de galletitas, lo abrió y, después de sacar una, comenzó a comérsela despreocupadamente.
