Queen Elizabeth the second was born in London on the 21st of April 1926. Her father was king George the sixth.
An interesting fact about Elizabeth is that she was in the military during the second world war. At this time, Britain was at war againt Germany. Elizabeth was a mechanic in the military.
Elizabeth married her Greek cousin, Phillip, on the 20th of November 1947. They were married for more than 70 years until Phillip's death in 2021.
Together they had four children; three boys and 1 daughter. Their oldest child was Charles, who is now king Charles the third.
The queen lived in Buckingham palace with her family. Buckingham palace is in London.
