The Life of Queen Elizabeth the second

Queen Elizabeth the second was born in London on the 21st of April 1926. Her father was king George the sixth.

An interesting fact about Elizabeth is that she was in the military during the second world war. At this time, Britain was at war againt Germany. Elizabeth was a mechanic in the military.

Elizabeth married her Greek cousin, Phillip, on the 20th of November 1947. They were married for more than 70 years until Phillip's death in 2021.

Together they had four children; three boys and 1 daughter. Their oldest child was Charles, who is now king Charles the third.

The queen lived in Buckingham palace with her family. Buckingham palace is in London.

Each Summer, the queen and her family stayed in Balmoral castle. Balmoral castle is in Scotland.

The queen loved animals, especially horses and dogs. She liked to watch horse races.

Elizabeth became queen at the young age of 25 when her father died. She was queen for 70 years. This is the longest time someone was king or queen of Britain.

The queen died on the 8th of September. She was 96 years old. She had a long life and has 8 grandchildren.
