Hello, this is Jack from tofluency.com, and in this English lesson we're going to learn about the phrase: to sets goals - and I used this phrase recently in a video I made about setting goals, so let's have a look at that clip now. “… and setting a goal for your English learning is one of the most powerful things that you can do.”

In the video, I said the following... “Setting a goal for your English learning is one of the most powerful things you can do.” And this just basically means the process of deciding what you want to achieve with your English learning - so, setting a goal is deciding what you want to achieve.

Here are some more examples of this phrase:

“I have set a goal to go hiking every weekend.”

“My friend never sets a goal for his business.”
