What is the difference between loud and boisterous?

Sometimes they mean the same thing. For example: Felix is loud. = Felix is boistrous. This has to do with the loudness of his voice, relative to other people around him. A car’s horn can be loud, but a car’s horn cannot be boistrous. Animant beings which are vocal while socializing can be loud, can be boistrous. Inanimate beings or things can be loud but not boistrous. I hope this helps, if not, please ignore my explanation.

It depends on who is doing the describing. If someone becomes “loud and boisterous,” it can mean they are drunk and disorderly, being obnoxious and using profanity.

It could be describing someone yelling, “No one’s going to tell me what to do. I’ll do whatever I want to, Giah-dammit. Telling me to go home, you little twerp, I’ll tell you where to go. I’m not drunk! I got rights!”

You’d have to give me the full context.
