Lingq Import Extension on Apple Silicon
zoran

@bechanbrech I am not sure if there is any difference in functionality regarding LingQ between Apple Silicon and other Apple devices, but shouldn't be.
What browser extension are you using on M1 Mac? You mentioned Brave, but we don't have an extension available for it.

Thanks for your reply zoran. Brave is a regular Chromium based browser so all the usual Chrome extensions normally work fine.
I actually have the extension working now, I'm not sure that I set anything differently between the two machines, but I have enabled <<Automatically allow access on the following sites>> and <<Allow access to file URLs>> and all good.

I strugle import this videos in safari or chrome. I get from extension Error: Importing failed - Subtitles can't be used. I have same computer. https://www.youtube.com/user/thismorning/videos https://www.youtube.com/user/junglistposse2003

@pixla Unfortunately, most of the videos on these two channels have auto-generated subtitles, and due to some changes made by YouTube recently, not all auto-generated subtitles can be imported anymore.

I entirely rely on YouTube to learn langages.
How am I going to do to improve my langages if I can't import YouTube videos anymore?

Is it possible to fix it ?
zoran

No, it's not a bug or issue. YouTube made changes on their end recently and changed the format of auto-generated subtitles. They are no longer recognizable text files as they were, so our importer can't grab and import them. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do.
