Why make them believe that?

A: Why make them believe that?
B: They have to believe in something. What is this for if they don’t have anything to believe in?

Question: I learned a sentence “what makes you changed your mind”. We used “makeS”.
How about the sentence above? Why make or makes them believe that?

Thank you!!!

“Why do you make them believe that?”

I think that adding “do you” to the original sentence makes it grammatically correct.

Hey lilyyang, where do you watch your movies and tv shows? How do you have the subtitles in both languages like that? Also do you import it into LingQ?

One of my friends gave me some movies and TV series to watch once in a while.
He knows I’m learning English, so the movies and TV series that he gave me usually came with subtitles in both languages.
Sorry, what does your last question mean? Do I import it into LingQ? You mean the whole movie?

Why make them believe that? just makes the phrasing simpler (and the question less direct) by not attaching ‘you’ to the question. Why would anyone want to make them believe that?

If you want to make the question more direct, you should add ‘would you want to’ rather than ‘do you.’
Why would you want to make them believe that?

What makes you change your mind? What is the thing that is causing you to change your mind?
What made you change your mind? What caused you to change your mind?

I hope this answers your question(s).
