How long time i must be learning japanese? , and what about kanji?

Hello i’m new member here and i like japanese language so much ! i whant to learn it even i can read many magazines , mangas , but how long time I should to learn japanese? and what about kanji ? how can i learn it without forget it?

I´m learning the Kanji with the Book “Remember the Kanji” (http://www.amazon.com/Remembering-Kanji-Complete-Japanese-Characters/dp/4889960759)

I think that you should improve your English first.
I guess there are not a lot of books/websites/online-dictionaries about learning Japanese in Arabic.
