Why 말해주세요 and not 말하주세요?

Since the verb “to speak” in korean is 말하다 why write 말해주세요 instead of 말하주세요?

I really don’t know how to conjugate verbs in korean, but I wonder if the word is written correctly.

말하다 + 주다 → 말해주다 → 말해주세요

The first verb needs to be conjugated when combining two verbs like this, and the conjugation depends on the verb.
사다 + 주다 = 사주세요 but 쓰다 + 주다 = 써주세요
