Paid podcast subscriptions within Lingq

Have you explored the possibility of partnering with podcasters who have Patreon or other such paid subscriptions? It would be wonderful, for example, to have onethinginafrenchday delivered to my LingQ account. It seems like a win-win opportunity since the podcast provider can find new subscribers this way.

Hey musicserver77,
Thanks for bringing this up. I was actually thinking the same regarding my German learning experience.
That’d be great to easily import some content created by the Easy German guys.

yes, that would be very good: podcast + text. I like to have the possibility to use everything in one account only without creating others.

Yes, to team up with Easy Languages would be a great thing, I’m for instance a subscriber of Easy Polish and pay via Patreon.

I thought of this idea a few years ago and I don’t think anyone connected with the site really responded to it but I think it would really transform LingQ to turn it into a content hub and allow people to sell their courses/lessons through the site. I would think it’s a win-win: the content creators have a ready-made audience and don’t have to rely on people stumbling onto their site and LingQ gets a bunch more content uploaded to the site, even if some of it is behind a paywall. And as Steve always says, “content is king”.

We know people are already loading the same paid-for courses/lessons over and over again without being able to share them; for example, while reading though lessons from “Notes in Spanish”, “Spanish Obsessed”, and stories from “Real Polish”, I notice phrases that could only have come from those courses popping up as recommended LingQs. So just let those sites/services sell their courses through LingQ. Pay for the course and it unlocks for that user. No need for each user to purchase it on a separate website and then upload it to their private LingQ library.
