Hi Zoran!

Please, could you help me to cancel my subscription? I have tried many times to do it but the page reloads and does not let me finish the operation. Thanks!

@Manu_1977 Sure, I took care of it. Your account will drop to the Free level in October.

Hello. LingQ won’t let me finish the downgrade process. It says I have more than 5 lessons remaining. I’ve deleted all of my lessons, and it still won’t let me downgrade to free no matter how many times I try. Please help me cancel my subscription. Thank you.

@puffchan I replied on your email. It’s taken care of.

Thank you. I should mention that LingQ was really helpful over the past year. Thanks!

Why don’t you explain how to complete the downgrade process instead of replying individually?
I have the same issue. I want to cancel my subscription too and I don’t know how to.
It’s obvious the process is made purposely difficult and not intuitive. LingQ should be ashamed

You can cancel subscription under the “Change Plan” on the account settings page:

We do agree that the downgrade flow should be improved and that’s one of the things we are working on at the moment.

Ok, now I am unsure if my subscription is already cancelled or not. Under “Current Tier” it says “changing to Free on August 14, 2022” but under “Next Payment:” it says “August 14, 2022”

It is cancelled and your account scheduled to drop to the FREE level next year.

I have been using paid LingQ for the last 18 months, and on-and-off for years prior to that. I have always enjoyed it and recommended it others. Now I just wanted to take a break for a few months because I’m busy with work, but as many others say, I cannot downgrade to free. The process is made purposely deceptive and even when I did manage to find the way to downgrade (by pressing ‘reactivate’? Hmm, not misleading at all…) then when I get to the final page I get some notice about how I cannot deactivate due to the number of lessons. It’s not clear at all how to fix this and was never made clear at any point when adding lessons. Many other people are reporting the same issues.

Honestly, I’m really disappointed. I would have restarted my subscription in a couple months, but now I would just like to cancel my subscription please and I don’t think I will be back. I don’t appreciate being taken advantage of like that, it is not a fair way to run a business. It is your customers’ right to choose whether or not they pay for your service, and downgrading should be simple. It seems upgrading is simple enough.

Please cancel my subscription.

@alexnhow If you see “Reactivate” that means that your subscription has been cancelled already. I checked your account and I can confirm that it’s scheduled to drop to the Free level on September 1st.

Could my premium subscription please be cancelled too? I’m on iOS mobile and the option to cancel is nowhere to be seen.

@LindyQ You are subscribed to LingQ Premium membership via the iOS app and iTunes. To cancel your subscription, please log in to your iTunes account and cancel it there, since all these payments are handled by Apple.
Here’s how you can do that: If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support
Hope this helps!

I would like to cancel my subscription today. I tried to follow the steps, but it was very complicated as I had to delete all my data. This is virtual impossible because I have been using the application for a year and I have to delete lesson by lesson. Although I have had a wonderful experience with lingq, now I started to feel it’s a scam. I would really appreciate it if you could cancel my subscription would like to cancel my subscription today.
