I want not to... or I don't want to....

November 20 at 12:31

A: I want not to watch an infant during the lunch rush on the hottest day of the year.

B: Why are you doing this to me?

A: I’m not doing it to you. I’m doing it for me.

"I want not to..." and "I don't want to..." mean the same?

Is it proper to say that?

Thank you!!!
