There are in German the verbs without prefixes, with separate prefixes and with non separate prefixes, e.x.:
sprechen- aussprechen- versprechen; kommen- ankommen - bekommen: stehen - aufstehen- bestehen.
By the conjugation we put the separate prefixes at the end of the sentence: Ich stehe um 7 Uhr morgens auf.
The most popular separate prefixes are ‘an, auf, aus, ein, zu, vor, zurück’.
