I’m just a German learner, but I’m pretty sure it’s “es”: a contraction of the imperative schreibt es… (write it…).

Thanks. I thought about that but is it just an impersonal way? Instead of saying “Schreiben Sie…”.

I think so. Schreibt is the imperative for the informal plural ihr. Makes sense in a YT video that they’d keep things informal with the audience (and make it plural).

Yes, this is just the infomal way to say schreibt es. You could never say it to an audience a e.g. a professional meeting. There you’d say schreiben Sie.
