Question: The sentence “she was just acting so strange”, so it is okay to use strange as an adjective instead of using strangely as an adverb, right?

Strange is clearly working as an adverb here. Strangely would be more correct, but maybe it would sound too formal.

This is correct - I act strange, weird, funny… all used colloquially.
Not just with the verb 'to act"… one can also walk funny, eat funny, talk funny…
