Typing in hebrew?

Hello, I’m just getting started in Hebrew, and am painfully typing in each lesson from my Assimil Hebrew book. Unfortunately, whever I copy the texts from Word to the LingQ import box, the punctuation always ends up on the right side of a sentence rather than on the left side.

Instead of :
מה אתה שותה?

I get
?מה אתה שותה

Does anyone have any tips for learning how to type/use Windows with a right to left language? I must admit, I’m a little baffled at the moment, the cursor just seems to jump around at random.

Also, if anyone has already done this for the Assimil course, I’d LOVE to get a copy of your typed up lessons, thanks!

I found this explanation online:

I’ll give it a try and report back…

Ok I’m not sure why this works, but it works. I have to push the END key to go to the end of the line (on the left side) and then press ALT+CTRL 9 . Then the editor displays the punctuation on the “wrong” (ie. right side of the sentence), but when I click Save, the lesson displays the punctuation on the “correct” side in the Hebrew (ie. left side of the sentence).

Very confusing, but at least now I can get the punctuation on the “right” (ie. left :)) side.
