Hey! You should absolutely use the import feature for English TV shows with English subtitles on Netflix. It's helped me a lot in learning both Spanish and Japanese. So I think it'd help you with English :)

It's a good idea to start with the mini stories just as you are doing, as you get a good feel for LingQ.

As for the strategy you adopt it's up to you, it's not a question of how things "should be done." LingQ allows you to learn a language through reading and listening to native content and this means you can choose additional lessons from the library once you've finished the mini stories - based on your own interests - or you can even import your own content and automatically create new lessons if you prefer - which apparently, is of one LingQ's best features.

You can also listen to Steve - learners of English like him because he speaks slowly as a student told me yesterday. Steve explains how to learn a language.

As for grammar, I'd suggest you buy a grammar book - "English Grammar in Use" by Raymond Murphy is one such book. Another is "Oxford guide to English Grammar". There's also numerous websites offering you the opportunity to engage in grammar quizzes, and even English grammar level tests. Internet is a great resource for grammar and more complex grammar questions can be asked here in the forum. 

As for the opportunity to speak and "unlock your jaw" LingQ offers you the opportunity to speak to mother tongue English speakers. You simply buy points if you don't have a premium subscription includes monthly points and book a conversation with a tutor of your choice.
