Maison DE vert or maison DU vert

I’m confused on how to say “house of green”
Google translate gives me Maison DE vert.
But google.fr search brings up Maison DU vert

what is the difference please ?

Can you give me an example in a sentence in English? Is it the same as a green house? Both sound wierd in French but maybe in a sentence it wouldn’t.

basically a literal translation of “ house of green”
as if you were describing a house painted green say. Known locally as the ”house of green“
thank you.

Then it would just be “la maison verte” or “la maison en vert” (but the last one only would be in everyday spoken French) the full sentence would be “la maison peinte en vert”

Thank You. This is very helpful.
does “ maison du vert“ translate into anything in French then?

Not really, unless if your playing a game with kids for example “la maison du vert” would be one of the houses in the game, like the house for everything that is green. For example in “la maison du vert” I put trees, grass, cucomber… In “la maison du rouge” there would be: fire truck, strawberries, clown’s nose…
