It would be cool to see a chart of each language & how many active users there are learning that language.

This will allow you to estimate the company’s revenue. Since there is no information about active users at all, I think there is nothing to brag about in this regard. I hope LingQ will prove me wrong.
I think more realistic is to prepare an annual language report. One owly competitor makes pretty useful reports and for LingQ it would be a chance to stand out. In such report you require no absolute figures, it’s more like a bird’s-eye view of what’s going on in the language learning community.

As, Sergey says the absolute numbers are most likely proprietary. They might share those with investors but not with the general public. I would definitely be interested in some relative numbers myself and a report similar to the 
company’s would be appreciated.
Although, I don’t think there are any doubts as to what the most popular languages are (English and Spanish). The other languages are more interesting to me and especially how they compare, for example Chinese simplified and traditional, or how much more popular Japanese and Korean are compared to Chinese. Also who are the LingQ users, their global distribution, native languages, etc. Hopefully someone from LingQ can chime in.

Yeah, perhaps percentage of activity per language is more realistic than number of users per language. I’m sure that English and Spanish will top the chart if Duolingo is any indicator (~50% of users are “studying” English). It would also be interesting to see what percentage of users are studying more than one language consistently.

You could create a chart by looking at the rankings in each language and only counting the number of people who have lingqs (or known words, etc) above whatever threshold (say above the trial number of lingqs) you think makes them an active learner.
